Yes! What a win. Playing our best voleyball at the right time.
I said a few pages ago that I hoped for this seed and we were a good match up for Kentucky!
On to the HUSKERS??? Its tough to beat a team 3 times in one year.

I'm surprised my neighbors haven't called in a domestic disturbance with all the yelling I've been doing : ). But maybe it was so loud that they could make out the "F%$& yeah, Meg!", and knew that it was just an amped Illini fan. |

Kuper had two consecutive Super-Kuper matches enabling Brown to run/distribute an offense AND the Illini to sustain rallies. Also, the Illini maintained energy the entire match. In the 4th set the Illini block was on and the Illini scrambled keeping balls in play. I prefer that Illinois play non-BIG teams. Given that Illinois has multiple personalities, the opponent has no idea which Illini personality is on the court. Kuper was in the zone- all facets of her game. Especially cool to see her and the super-seniors get at least another game in the orange and blue! |

Okay, I'm officially starting a GoFundMe page to fly notpriddy (COIF) to Austin! Open up those pocketbooks, y'all! I made a snap decision to buy all session tickets for the Kentucky Sub-regional yesterday morning. At my age I am always especially leery of driving long distances. Weather in December can always turn dicey in Illinois-Indiana-Kentucky. My husband has been making annual trips to Louisville for many years to attend the "Humana Festival of New Plays", and is encouraging me to make the drive to Louisville and on to Lexington which is another hour's drive away. I have been to UK once many years before to visit a good friend who had transferred from ISU into UK's School of Architecture. It will be a sentimental trip for me since that friend from St. Charles, Illinois, passed away from AIDS during the height of that epidemic. Perhaps I can do my part in providing a little extra "mojo" for Illinois. |

Great match today! We've seen the potential the team has if they play well. Hope Raina can keep it up bc we'll need her to stay consistent to keep moving on.
