With CAL POLY returning 18 current roster players in 2022, will coach Walters recruit any additional ladies??? Will the transfer portal once again provide a means to better the team's production and add depth? It is worth seriously considering, IMO. CAL POLY will return five true freshmen from their 2021 roster. Ladies that really did not see any playing time all season. Whether these players will be given a redshirt and return with a redshirt freshman status or not at all remains to be seen.

If they didn't play, they are redshirt freshment, there is no status to be granted. NCAA allows players five seasons to use four. Will the school keep them on the roster at the end of their four years? That is the actual question.

Especially if coach Walters feels anyone of the five true freshmen (would be RSF) currently playing with an athletic scholarship will need to make room for a transfer player.

What are we supposed to have?

They are going to manage it the same way they managed having 22 on the roster this year. Unlikely that anyone on the roster has a scholarship change. Replace outgoing scholarship players with incoming scholarship players.

Replace outgoing scholarship players with incoming scholarship players. I foresee at least two returning scholarship players will be asked to give up their schollies for transfer players in 2022. CAL POLY was hurt (due to injuries) by not having enough talented depth in 2021. And, coach Walters needs to find more experienced talent to avoid the same in 2022.

Of the Four CAL POLY Lady'Stangs (including Nicole Cavote) moving on next season,...how many have athletic scholarships?

My guess three of the four departures have a scholarship to give back. Meaning coach Walters could legitimately recruit three more players for 2022.

Of the 18 Lady'Stangs projected to return in 2022,...eight (exception of Maia Dvoracek) ever saw competition.
Question: Will coach Walters be using any available scholarship(s) on these eight players?

Any news on Dvoracek's rehab. Is she on track to be ready for next season. Poly will be tough if she can get back to where she was pre injury.

Nothing definite but all indications she will be back playing for CAL POLY in 2022. Still think coach Walters will be bringing in a transfer or two from the portals.
