The best way to attack Georgia Tech is straight down the middle and take advantage of some more offensively-minded middles. We'll see if Minnesota's connections on the quicks improve. There's also gonna be a LOT of out of system play in this match. Minnesota should sweep as long as Samedy is in uniform and they don't get too passive on their serving. Serving may be where we miss CC McGraw the most. Also, we probably can't count a Pittman getting a dozen blocks because GT has two proficient back row attackers - way more difficult to block IMO. I'd like to see some extra good floor coverage by Minnesota. Out of system is a Minnesota strength, lol.
Landfair has a very good serve.

As long as they keep the ball away from the giant ginger on serve, they should be able to do damage.

giant ginger Well this suddenly makes GT seem more formidable.

About the 2004 match. Btw, in this match Minnesota is running a true 6-2.

If CC plays, is there a Gopher fan who would swap any MN starter for a GT starter? Or a head coach trade? The Gophers should sweep.

If GA can hit .300 in THIS match the Gophers will have a real tussle on their hands. I think the combination of slightly tougher serving, better blocking, and a more potent offense will force GA out of system enough to lead to a MN win.
The Lipscomb Ga Tech match was entertaining and competitive and it appeared both teams were enjoying their time in the limelight. GA looked more competent, to my eyes, than almost any of today's losers other than Pepperdine. This opinion is based on only cursory views of other matches.

OK. Let's get this started. Minnesota is obviously going to lose. Just ask VolleyTalk.

Anybody heard anything about MN’s lineup?
Concerning that I didn’t see CC or Samedy on the Gopher’s insta stories. But might have just been out of the shot.
If they’re both out Gophers get swept.

I haven't seen GT recently, but if Minnesota can contain the LS attack, GT shouldn't give them too many issues. I have Minny in my final 4.

I'm only rooting for Georgia Tech because I want to see an unseeded team win and I like chaos
