Kim Hill wouldn't even be playing this year if it hadn't been for covid-19. She's had her time in the sun and I think she's certainly ready to retire like she says. MVP in the final match of the USNTs first gold medal. Instrumental in the final match for the Olympics bronze. If she gets cut from the team this year so be it. It certainly won't diminish the wildly successful career she's had.

Can’t leave out what is my personal favorite performance of hers - hitting .361 and passing a 2.61 in the Olympic qualifier against Bulgaria, only to get benched...

I feel like Kim Hill is gonna get yanked for Plummer. edit: But that’s just me. in what reason? I love this hype over plummer. We are over thinking and expecting too much from her huh. It's good she made it in preparation of larson-hill-mbh retirement.

In front of americans wanting to see their favorite and famous huskers player play.

I literally just rewatched that match yesterday. I still think that was a stupid decision on Karch's part. Krob should have come in for Larson. Period.

From first glance at what's been posted on social media, it doesnt look like protocols are being enforced as extremely as first thought
(unless players are getting vaccinated exceptions, which would make sense for the americans)

Is anyone planning on being awake for the first round of matches? I'm going to try to watch a little bit of all the matches on day one.

That's a stretch. do you think larson being team captain will affect karch judgement? I think so! She is good and no question about that but when she's off karch can't make that quick decision to sub her out? That's my observation only.

According to one of the releases, they wouldn't be in contact... but I saw a video from someone where they definitely were (kitchen staff aren't a part of the bubble) the mask stuff doesn't concern me (most of them don't wear it right anyways lol)

I’m not at all against Kim Hill… but it seems odd that she traveled with the team most of 2019 but never saw the court outside a few opportunities. One would assume she’s thrive with Carlini and Poulter…

I’m not at all against Kim Hill… but it seems odd that she traveled with the team most of 2019 but never saw the court outside a few opportunities. One would assume she’s thrice with Carlini ans Poulter… I think that she will have to prove what her role will be. Karch has already shown that just being an olympian isn't enough to get you over the line (Adams/Lowe). If she does struggle offensively, in this tournament against arguably weaker competition, then that doesn't bode well for her olympic chances. Now, if she is just going to be a serving sub (like she was during the world cup) then I'm sure she will be fine with that role. The only question is, is there ANYONE who could fill that serving sub role that could also sub in and make an offensive impact if needed. I think both SWP and KP could both fill that role, which is why they are both on this roster.
