not sure if "bosko's back up" will even make the olympic roster, i remember one competition italy just took egonu as the only opposite.
hm but she’s actually quite good. She’s just behind the best player in the world right now. Sucks for her tbh Bjelica is quite good…I would think they would find a way to bring her (especially if they want/need to rest Bosko).

Canada's been posting clips from their scrimmages. Looks like their A team is King/Van Ryk, Gray/Howe, Cross/White + libero. (I didn't notice Maglio but there's a chance I missed her) No way White should be starting over Maglio…but it is a new coach, so you never know. Top line should be: Gray / Howe or Livingston OH Van Ryk OPP Cross / Maglio MB Bujan (libero) King (S) Agreed. Maybe it was a rotational situation. (the videos were on Canada's WNT on IG)

I think especially with how hard COVID was on her (and having to play when she hadn’t even fully recovered), it set her back a bit. They will need her in top form to beat the better teams.

Hitting like 500 with like 30+ kills every game with awful setting lol

Most posters think Serbia isn’t strong enough to be a threat anyway, but it would be nice for her to play at her best.

It would pretty dumb to count out a team with Bosko, Brankica, Rasic, and Maja lol. Even if Rasic and Brankica aren’t playing in top form lately they could easily turn it on for a match in like a semifinal when they really need them and bam they knock you out

I do think they'll be sending some new players after Week 3, if possible.

Back to my USA vs. CHN delusions. depends on how big of a hole China's B team will dig, and if the A-team can get themselves in at least 3rd place in the preliminary round.
Because given the rosters that have been released there is no doubt in my mind that USA will be #1 in pool play. I'm not saying they'll win every match, but I don't expect any other team to be #1 in pool play after 15 rounds.
I mean OH: ZCN, LXT OPP: someone MB: WYY, ZYX SET: YD LIB: WMJ Is still pretty strong compared to most teams' starters. Can even be competitive against the top teams they will face in Weeks 1-3. I expect China to finish in the Top 3 in the prelims.

I'm just glad they'll be sending Zhu Ting and friends eventually.

hope they can play their best against teams like Turkey and Brazil.
