All Trev has to do is leave volleyball alone and he'll be fine. 1. Trev hired Matt at UNO which was a great hire. 2. Having some insight into how that search went, I think this increases the likelihood that Cook will essentially choose his successor. This is a good thing where volleyball is concerned.

I have come up empty on a Matt Davison search. What is his status and is he at UNO?

All Trev has to do is leave volleyball alone and he'll be fine. Under Trev, UNO went from Division II to Division I and got to a point where they are contending for their conference championship. There's ridiculous local talent here and not all of them can go to Nebraska or Creighton or Iowa etc. Imho, it's only a matter of time before they get to the top of their conference and become a perennial NCAA participant. I know there was a huge controversy when he went to UNO, cut several sports and announced the move to D1. But imho, it turned out to be good for the school and the athletics department is in a better place than before he got there.

Krause, Batenhorst, Rodriguez - great additions to an already great Huskers program. GBR!

I think there is angst created because he comes across as highly opinionated and head strong. Thus some changes are anticipated. I hope he does not make changes that negatively impact volleyball. I suspect he will not, but I have some angst...

There just isn’t a scenario where an AD wouldn’t come in and not say, “keep doing what you’re doing, let us know how we can help. “ they make their own money, are a state treasure win team and individual honors. It’s an AD’s dream

Watching the U20 team, Huskers will have no shortage of good hitters this fall. Interesting to see how the coaches manage them. Batenhorst doesn't look ready for 6 position play yet, suspect neither is Krause, but Huskers dont need them to be in fall 21. One playing OPP and the other coming in on a double sub? And then there is Zuhn and Lauerstein that will also be competing for those roles as well. Be fun to watch this unfold ... soon...🙂

Her game isn’t perfect, but she does some high level things.

It’s an AD’s dream ...Well if Trev happens to be reading, we need to start making a plan to upgrade/expand/make a new replacement for Devaney Center--I think volleyball attendance could easily hold a few more thousand people....(I'm assuming a Devaney Replacement Plan doesn't exist, my apologies if it does) Maybe we could find a way to get a small venue so that the Huskers could host some sand volleyball matches/hold a tournament or something. People would pay to attend some sand vball matches too I suspect.

Sorry but IMO her back row play is not up to Husker expectations, unless the U20 opponents are much better than BIG teams, and I do not think that is true. I'm not dishing her. Very good player and will likely develop into a 6 rotation player, just not there yet. This next season she and Krause can definitely contribute at the OH and OPP position, and possibly as servers. Again just my opinion. Getting excited about the fall 2021 season. GBR!
