My reaction to this article is odd. It's like now that volleyball is important, let's take the article away from Punzel. I double Polzin has asked a vb press question in his life.

They better be using Arias/Waite commentary. I don't want no vball-clueless nimrod on these broadcasts.

In previous years, I'm 99.9% sure that the streams were free. Wait til' tomorrow afternoon to see before you spend any money.

Yes, your reaction is odd. A second reporter writes a complimentary (puff piece?) column as the Badgers enter tournament time…and you consider that a problem? No, he’s not the regular reporter, but someone else wanting to acknowledge how good the Badgers are…and have been for a while…is not a problem. It’s a sign of achievement. “Fair weather” fans and “fair weather” coverage means we’re having some great weather.

Polzin’s been attending and participating in the pressers all season. His job scope changed recently to more than just FB/MBB. And he’s got a HUGE following compared to Dennis. Plus, Dennis is retired and technically no longer works for the State Journal.
So I love Dennis and I hope he continues his detailed coverage of the Badgers for a long time, but I’m also pleased that Polzin’s stepping up his coverage.

I am probably reacting or still recalling what I think was Mile Lucas ignoring WVB accomplishments in a poll from a couple of years ago and them thinking Polzin's coverage was just token coverage. Glad to be wrong!?

I really want Punzel to stay around, but the guy is retired and he's probably hoping some others will pick up the slack. I don't think it's a zero sum game either. Lots of room to increase vball exposure.
We all know this is level of attention is unique to NCAA tournament time though.

And speaking of Mr. Punzel...

Different emphasis because it is a column, not a news article, so more opinion based, less recitation of facts within a narrative thread. FWIW, Jim rocks.

Any news on tickets for next week? Season ticket holders already were able to respond about BOTH weekends through the ticket office e-mail, so they just charge for reserve seats again on Monday. The website should have general admission ticket info also by Monday morning, I believe.

Any news on tickets for next week? If it is anything like this weekend, there will be DOZENS of 'prime reserve' on sale on StubHub next week. (And I am NOT happy about that!!)
