I've been waiting since 1990 when i saw my 1st bagmdger vball game 1990 for me as well. I’m thrilled I could see it in person. My son and I had an amazing time. Last ones to leave the arena. Joy!

I really hope that Steve and Margie can look down from somewhere and be happy with the Badgers winning the national title in front of 18,000+ tonight and be happy with what they helped to build!

Badgers fans... what do you think was the one difference from past years, or key area of improvement, to allow this team to win a national title? For me, it was Jade Demps. Having that option out of the back row when things broke down was simply invaluable. Completely agree. She deserves more kudos than she gets. She’s a difference maker.

Loberg had a rough start and frankly wasn’t providing much of anything positive but Sheffield stuck with her and in the end of a gritty battle she had the highest hitting percentage of all left sides by far

Last night, to her credit, she was doing a better job of getting block touches, making it tougher for the UW lefts to score. Points came hard all around, UW block and NE floor defense. Frustrating but great volleyball.

Thinking this AM about the contrast between the Louisville match and last night.
Louisville was two sprinters, taking long and graceful strides around the track, racing to the finish line; last night was two big, ugly wrestlers, rolling around on the mat, trying to subdue the other.
The thing is, Wisconsin can be either the sprinter or the wrestler, and still manage to win. It's awesome.

A heartfelt Congratulations to all Badgers fans from this Gophers fan.
If it wasn't going to be us, I am glad it was you guys who joined the National Champions club. I see a lot of parallels between the Badgers journey and ours. Good success mixed with heartbreaking losses to really good teams. National title contending teams with superstar setters that fell just short.
Maybe one day we can feel the joy you all are for the ultimate payoff of watching your team lift that trophy.

Congratulations to the Badgers! Amazing block, Barnes was everywhere, and Demps was awesome out of the back. Your team definitely earned and deserved the title, well done!
