My friend group hypothesis was not something I was terribly serious about. But, I am definitely curious to see how it plays out now.

Hmmm ... sounds like there's some unfinished business that needs to be attended to.

I'm really looking forward to this. I'm excited about it. Why? It gives the Athletic Department a place to make money off of VB without dramatically jacking up ticket prices for everyone who's there to actually watch the games. Think about it - they'll charge 30-50 people a couple hundred bucks per person per match. Access to that space will be a donor perk, and they can use it to schmooze the high rollers during the NCAAs without kicking season ticket holders out of their seats to do so. And in creating it, we get the rest of the upper deck open and we'll have the largest-capacity venue in the conference*. I think it's brilliant. *Until John Cook figures out a way to cram more people into the Devaney Center so he doesn't have to be second.

What I don't understand is why we have have to be social distanced even as cartoon avatars in the cartoon field house of the future. That just feels so lonely! I felt for that one guy with the beer staring at a wall on the patio. If we are going to have a cartoon field house, I want to dream a little. I want to see those stands full! Otherwise, I agree with Rainbow. It does put a ceiling on capacity, but that's probably balanced against revenue.

I think he is standing at the table talking to someone on the other side of it. Or at least looking at the other picture he is. But I agree, have it full of people.

It's gonna be one hell of a practice gym.
Now we're just waiting to hear from Kraft & Rettke.
I hope Kraft stays. I want her and Gio to experience a full Field House.

Well, there goes my friend group theory.
While I am maybe a little surprised, I think this is good. She seemed to be the best of the passers of the Demps, Haggerty, Loberg group. Now you pair her with, presumably, Demps as your OHs and you have some thunder at both OH spots and some acceptable passing. I think.
Rettke coming back is the one that would cause a bigger bottleneck in the program and at the pins because she determines whether Robinson stays on the right or moves to the middle. A hitting rotation of Loberg/Demps, Hart/Robinson and Orzol would seem to have a considerable amount of upside potential.
