I agree. Just was trying to say it’s be fun to watch them against each other. Both very similar style of play No... Albrecht was a wonderful player, though. No what? It wouldn’t be fun to watch them on opposing sides ?

Like, one was the offensive leader of her team and just put down 26 kills against TEXAS and the other was her team's fifth option.

Right, I said style of play not level of play. they both are very good ball control outsides who thrive on fast sets and finding high hands. Both are well rounded and very creative on offense. Stumler is head and shoulders above albrecht. I was saying that their style is similar, not necessarily their skill.

How would this Kentucky team stack up to past ncaa champions? I’d say pretty well. No weaknesses and Lilley ran one of the best offenses I’ve ever seen at the college level. I so wish we had one more year of her. Ugh In the last 10 years? They beat them all. Nope

Edit: And I would not consider Stumler to be a “ball-control OH,” especially this season.

Stumler was so ridiculously impressive in the tourney. Perhaps she's someone actually worthy of comparison to a young Jordan Larson. I feel like that comparison gets thrown around too easily for some other players. Just cuz a girl can hit more than two shots doesn't make her the next Larson.

I hope you’re saying this in like a she’s too good offensively to be considered a “ball control OH” rather than a knock on her passing ?

Just cuz a girl can hit more than two shots doesn't make her the next Larson. she was absolutely FEARLESS against the Texas block. I love how on game point she missed the first cross court shot into the net and then cut it more and hit even harder the next time for the game winning kill

That first swing she missed was a very tough position she was in and was nothing like the high ball on the net she got on her game winning kill. Still very impressive tho

Congrats to Kentucky! What a great accomplishment for their Volleyball program. Texas is not the real loser, the real loser is Florida. Can you imagine how annoying it must be for the Gator volleyball program to watch another SEC team win its first National Title before they could do it? Tennesee had a chance in 2005 but how many of us would have bet on Kentucky winning a title before Florida?
