While just a small part of the big picture, if Texas' middle hitters play like they did against Wisconsin, that means Texas' serve-receive and setting are at a very high level. And, that opens things up for the pin hitters. Nobody has been able to slow down Asjia O'Neal's slides in the post-season. Texas' block and defense still has to try and contain Kentucky's powerful offense. Back in 2018, Texas' middle blocker tandem of Morgan Johnson and Brionne Butler combined for 20 kills and hit 0.566 in a 3-1 Texas win in Austin. While so many players from those squads are gone, a lot of current names (Avery, Lilley, Stumler, Curry, Brionne, Eggleston, and Petersen) played in that match. I think Texas' game plan to exploit the middle and the slide will be the same come Saturday night as in 2018. texassports.com/sports/womens-volleyball/stats/2018/kentucky/boxscore/11992

I know we have two great teams competing with each other, but, I cannot get over the fact that Texas has so many weapons. Sorry to say that Kentucky is a great team but, they don't have what it takes to take Texas down period.

Those of course are big ifs. Kentucky can most definitely win this match.

Who do you think would win in a Wisconsin/UK match up? I’d bet on Wisconsin.

Who do you think would win in a Wisconsin/UK match up? I’d bet on Wisconsin. It's all assumption at this point but my ticket would be Kentucky over Wisconsin. Kentucky is very athletic and quick like Texas is the only difference is the size and right now Texas is going on all cylinders. They are going to be hard to beat, Texas in 3.

Who do you think would win in a Wisconsin/UK match up? I’d bet on Wisconsin. Think it depends on how much time you get to rest a couple players. Seemed to be a couple injuries out there. Any mix n' match of the final four sounds fantastic to me though. This tournament has been quite a joy to watch.

Im so unsurprised by this Final. Anyone who didn’t play in the fall didn’t have a chance unless they were riding on experience (Wisconsin/Washington) and even then, the teams that played the fall season just had the upperhand from the get go

After watching the Wisconsin match now for a fourth time, I really want Salima to be successful as a commentator, but it’s p a I n f u l l y obvious Paul is trying so diligently to pull her into a conversation and to have an opinion about - stuff. Bless her heart though she’s just such a diplomat.

They barely played at all in the fall or spring and they are the reigning National Champs. Hopefully, this up coming season is going to be better for all of Volleyball.

Exactly, there were just too many variables with this season that you almost can’t fault teams like Wisconsin who lost a chunk of their season to Covid issues.

If Texas can maintain their ball control, they will win.

Bless her heart though she’s just such a diplomat. I do like Paul, but I wish he were more aware of his sexism and chauvinistic dominance. You say he’s pulling Salima in, but I think his ego dominates too much of the flow. That mess with the challenge in the Kentucky-Washington match was so much bravado it was gag worthy (and homeboy was wrong). Dominant male personalities often crowd out meaningful participation from others. I get that there’s a whole dynamic thing going on, but I could use a little less of Paul’s ego.
