this shouldn't be too difficult...... now, having to get through Texas (at Texas) and either Nebraska/Kentucky is a different story entirely.

The good thing about being #15 is that when you knock off #2, you inherit that seed.

I don't feel so good about Texas. Maybe they'll all eat some bad chili game day.

when was the last time washington and texas played? UW lost to Texas in 5 sets at the start of the 2006 season. I think that may be the last time the two programs have played.

I'm trying to make sense of some numbers here the stats don't seem to add up to me. Maybe someone can help me out.
In Texas's lone loss which was against Baylor, Texas out hit Baylor .353 to .281 and yet lost. Texas also out blocked by a large margin. The only stat Baylor out played Texas was in digs.
In their other meeting in order for Texas to win they had to out hit Baylor by a whopping .410 to .281. Again Texas was basically even or ahead in every category except digs.
It would seem that the key for UW to beating Texas is keeping the hitting differential down to ~.60 or under and having a career day in the digging department. Bays better have her soccer shoes on for this one.
It was also funny how Baylor's blocking game was non-existent in both matches. I would think UW would offer something much better and could make blocking a factor.

OMG, that was in Madison. I was at that game. Huskies were leading 13-10 in the 5th set, but Destine Hooker (she was a freshman that year, I believe) took over.

I don't feel so good about Texas. Maybe they'll all eat some bad chili game day. We have to serve tough (and in) and get some good touches defensively. I'm not too concerned about our ability to terminate against Texas, but if we can't get Texas out of system and defense their OOS offense it won't go well for us.
