Another note on denoting starters: Covid and injuries are enemies. Shuffling lineups don't help, either. A lot of this is my own discretion. Here are some of the "borderline" examples:
Jenna Wenaas
Sarah Franklin
Sam Csire and Rebekah Rath
Emma Ellis and Maddy Chinn
Kendall Murray and May Pertofsky
The entire Northwestern roster
Amiya Jones

Wouldn't be surprised to see PSU come back with a vengeance this fall, especially if they get Pritchard. I don't think Wisconsin will drop too much with Barnes and Hilley coming back, but Smrek is not Rettke as far as I can tell. Nebraska will live and die on the arms of Krause and Batenhorst, any offensive improvement from Kubik would be huge. Minnesota might struggle this season unless Landfair's ready for the big time. Re: Wisco - Let’s be clear. We do NOT know that Hilley is returning to the team. We know she’s enrolled in a masters program. That’s all. oh, ok. I didn’t know that. |

I can see Caffey moving to M1 and picking up a lot of what Lauren left off... she has the ability of her connection with Hames/Orr is there I agree that Rodriguez will likely come in and be a significant upgrade at the libero, but it's very difficult to win without OOS termination like what Foecke was doing in 2017/18 since you can't be in system all the time. I didn't see that from Kubik yet, but if Krause in particular can come in at the OH and be really strong, Nebraska will be even more dangerous. |

Not sure I am entirely enjoying the NFL free agency feel to transfers and player rental going on in women’s volleyball. Guess I’m old school you get drafted to that team. That’s your team.

I don't mind freedom of movement for players. I am not a huge fan of the result where talent further concentrates at the top. But, not much I can do about that.
