u chose violence today byeeee 💀 Sedwick seems like a nice person, but.... yeah. Her getting named first team AA a few years ago was all the world needed to prove that the system is broken. Assists per set is more reflective of how athletic your hitters are than it is a setter’s ability. A player like Pressley sure does hide a lot of other issues with passing and setting. You can’t trap set your hitters every third ball and be a first team AA. The system needs to change. I don't think assists per set is the reason why Hannah Sedwick got 1st-team AA. It was her other stats. 0.87kps 11.46 assists/s 0.23 ace/s 2.71 dig/s 0.75 blk/s Her team hit .291 on the season, was 29-2 with a FF appearance and losses to two of the very best (Texas and Wisconsin). It's very hard to not see that as an 1st-team AA given the stats and team success as a setter. Baylor also hit .479(!!) in the Regional Final vs. UW, .339 against Purdue, .323 against USC. I'm not arguing about Sedwick's abilities, I was very very disappointed with her play this season. I think people were upset that she was able to have success and be a key contributor while not having great hands. If she was that bad, no way Baylor only loses 2 matches last year. Not buying that. Using stats and team performance, I don't see how you can leave her out and I think 1st-team was justified. Lilley's stat-line is very similar to Sedwick's, but of course, anyone would take Lilley.

Skinners are the daughters of former Baylor hoopster, Brian Skinner. So, I'm sure they've been to Waco plenty of times. She’s in Chicago right now- does northwestern have a good program? Lol I don’t know anything about this I just saw her Instagram story.

When I looked up her major/grad program (not sure which it was) and I saw at the top of list, Purdue!
I know she’s getting a lot of Baylor buzz, but imagine her stepping in for Newton’s departure?! PURDUE WILL RUN THE TABLES OF THE B1G!!! I am manifesting it so hard...
Skinner, Cleveland on the pins, trammell and Johnson in the middle, otec and Bush... they could make a case for a final four and championship imo

I just don’t get where Avery would even go on the court. Yossi has her spot sealed. Harrison did well for herself. I would be sad to see Harrison get relegated to the pine, and would be pissed to see Avery get that after this season. Would she play right side???
Baylor has too much! Too too much. How all of a sudden they get these type of players. But the transfers outside of Harrison aren’t working so I just don’t get it lol

Get her out of the passing rotation, she's already sickening out of the back row, let Skinner take over her spot at OH. Or move Harrison to the right. Either way, Van der Mark has been very inconsistent the past two seasons and having that many weapons on the pin can only help the situation. But I agree -- that roster size would have me thinking twice about transferring there.

It sounded to me, in what I read, that Avery made her decision very much school first, volleyball would come as a bonus.

Hopefully Chinn takes over Newton's spot, maybe going to 6-rotations in the fall. Ellis will hopefully find some consistency as that 2nd OH and Koch can prep to replace Cleveland when she graduates. Still, having Skinner would make for a nice run toward redemption of that Elite 8 loss 😟

According to google, they have the #2 ranked program that Skinner is interested in.
