did Fauske pass for Cincy trojansc cause she had an uh.... interesting match today She played as a 6-ro non passing OPP while not attacking from the backrow. Kind of shows you how Cincy’s personnel was. I don’t think she would have started at all this past season, and they didn’t even make the AAC Tournament. Ouch.

Ouch. she's come off the bench for Norway x2 now... She passed today.. well "attempted" 19%/10% on like 24ish receptions

Take it easy. I didn't mean to offend anybody. I was just asking. Do you think FIVB ranking works good? In the last 4 years Serbia won 1 World Championship and 2 European Championships (+ the silver medal in Rio 2016), and it's ranked lower than USA, Brasil, Italy an Turkey. Serbia got beat up bad in 2019. That's where they lost a ton of points. (Belgium, Thailand, Bulgaria, Germany are bad losses + the World Cup losses) USA/Turkey/Brazil all took advantage with good performances at the VNL/World Cup/continental championships.
I don't think it's necessarily unfair to punish a team for a poor part of the calendar year. Going from 2nd to 9th in the World Cup and 5th to 13th in the VNL isn't good. (even if their starters weren't there. That's a part of the system now)
I don't know, avid. I think that the Olympic Games, the World Championship and the various continental championships (in this order) should be way more relevant than the VNL and even than the World Cup (a totally redundant competition, in my opinion). But as you said, this is the system now.

That's sorta what I'm interested to see (and why im annoyed we dont have daily updates yet), I want to see the impact of individual matches (especially when we get the top dogs facing each other)

Hungary gets a big win over France.
That'll be disappointing for the French. Were +17 in the two sets they won, -7 in the three they lost.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't blaming your interest. I typed "Why do you care about FIVB rankings?" (I apologize if it sounded rude) just because in Italy/Europe we don't give it much relevance.

the rankings matter for the teams that don't make the cutoff to the olympic qualifiers or world championship qualifiers

Slovakia sweeps Montenegro. Fenoglio’s on fire! I just noticed that in Slovakia’s coaching staff there’s Stefano Micoli too. Too many Italian coaches around.

Switzerland vs Estonia was kind of fun - the Swiss won in 5 (16-14), but were down 8-13. Made for an exciting finish to the match, anyway!

Seems like:
A- Belarus should qualify. Switzerland/Estonia are #24/#25 and their 1st match certainly reflected those rankings in how tightly contested that match was.
B-Sweden will qualify, Ukraine has the edge as well, but Portugal could knock them out (especially since their OPP isn't there for Ukraine?)
C-Greece will qualify, Spain has the upper edge, but don't count Austria out yet.
D-Slovakia should qualify, but Finland/Montenegro will battle for #2 and could be very close.
E-Hungary and France will qualify.
F-Czech and Bosnia will qualify.
