Checking some box scores across the country and interestingly Beason and Kelley had identical 9-5-20 .200 attack lines for their new teams. This post is not making a point of any kind, just found that funny.

Based off the feedback from exhibition, I'd love for us to try out: S: Stucky* 6'2 RS: Martin 6'6 MB1: Essix 6'3 MB2: Dixon 6'3 OH1: Victoria* 6'1 (6 rotations) OH2: ACF*/Hutson/Gravlee 5'11/6'3/6'4 L: McKissock* DS: Canaan* (Martin) DS: Cornier (OH2) SS: Adams* (Essix) *Servers We got a lot of answers tonight. For those that didn't watch, this is what we saw: S: Stucky* 6'2 RS/OH: Martin* 6'6 (6 rotations) MB: Essix 6'3 MB/RS: Dixon* 6'3 OH/RS: Victoria 6'1 OH: Hutson 6'3 L: McKissock* DS: Canaan* (Hutson) DS: Adams* (Victoria) *Servers Martin was our main pipe back row attack and played excellent defensively. Her 11 digs earned her a double-double. Quite impressed how well she moves as a 6'6 all-around player. A poster on another thread said she was giving Plummer vibes. Dixon hit out of right back for half a rotation when she served. She also played the "Tealer MB" role to perfection with her right side front row swings when Martin was in the back row. Hutson and Victoria were asked to cover a sliver of the court in serve receive. It was primarily McKissock and the DSs handling the responsibility, similar to last season. Hutson probably outshined Victoria both offensively and with her passing.

I'm sorry I just realized... Florida is scheduled to continue against Stanford, Minnesota AND Wisconsin? When was the last time they scheduled 4 Top 10 teams in the non conf...? Mary Wise must really think this is a special team because what a brutal schedule

But also, she probably didn’t think she’d be starting two freshman and a sophomore setter. This schedule was probably made before Kelley and Beason left

My take from this weekend… Florida can’t constantly start out slow, great teams aren’t going to allow them back in it. They continue to play good against good teams & bad against teams they should destroy. They seem to want to get ahead of themselves, but they’re young and will (hopefully) learn Martin, Hutson, & Stucky are going to be incredible for the next 3 years together (as long as they stay) Elli is back on her stretch of being great one game and terrible the next. Passing was better the second game, but still too many aces given up & too many overpasses. Good/great teams won’t let you come back from that. Martin has no problem putting the team on her back, we saw that in set 5 last night. When Victoria gives up 1 point, she gives up 3 more after. Same old, same old. Dixon is getting better in the middle (in my opinion). While we need to get our middles going more. This team has a bright future, I’m trying to remind myself they’re young & that was the second match of the year.

My biggest takeaway was that Martin will be very good! Called it! lol. So happy for the way this season is starting for Kennedy! She's amazing.

Impressive showing by Martin, but y’all, it’s Florida. Special comes, but special always goes.
