Gators look BAD vs Texas on national TV. Had a whole week to prepare to just to get swept and outside of a fast start the team looked defeated with no fight to compete. With the amount of talent they have it’s disappointing. It’s time to look for new leadership to coach this team. It is easy to be frustrated with the coaching. It was a horrible experience watching this match for sure. If we can hang on to our great talent, eventually it will shine through. I think even with the current staff. Have faith.

I was also disappointed by the teams play against Texas considering they had a week off as well. The first set melt down was a major blow as well, no one could buy a kill towards the end of that set. I feel like every year we always have a lot of talent, but can't really do much. I do think Mary needs to start adjusting to the game if she wants to get that natty. I do think other coaches are adjusting and that is why new programs have started to perform better and consistently be successful. I don't understand why they do not have I.Martin hitting from the back row if they keep her in all 6 rotations, pretty sure she had to do lots of that at UNLV plus that would help K.Martin. Also, it seems that recently either Isabel or AC have a good game but never both. If we want to be successful both are gonna have to start getting hot. Rothe has been struggling, she only had 1 kill off 3 attempts on Sunday which could be better. I just hope they turn it around, because even at this point if we somehow host regionals I don't see us higher than 12 tbh.

Getting swept at home by unranked South Carolina (25-23, 25-13, 25-18) was beyond disappointing. Gators looked lackluster.
-Lack of tenacity in play
-No effective adjustments when USC found success with the short serve
-No action taken when it’s clear momentum has changed
-Too long before roster adjustments are executed
It’s as if they are ok with this performance
This team has too much talent with available players to perform this poorly. This points to lack of leadership on and off the court and lack of effective strategy. Roster needs to be adjusted.
Coach needs to course correct quickly.

Where is Gabbi Essix? I don't even see her on the bench (of course it kind of hard sometime to see the bench on tv broadcasts)

Can't wait to see what new heights she reaches...but I also have to point out how awesome Emerson's perspective is. What an invaluable team mate and the kind of person I'd want to be on a team with. You can't train that kind of character.

I think this season has been so exciting! Our freshmen middles are playing really well and it's clear that the middle has been more dynamic that it haas in years on this team. Stucky is back and still working into it but looking really good. Kennedy Martin has been playing better and looked phenomenal this weekend. The Ohs are doing what they need to do and sometimes really come through when we need them. Eli started out slowly this season but looked really good, especially against LSU, and it's kind of sad that this is her last season. I think the floor defense could get a little better but hopefully it does. And finally, the serving has been great

Made the drive to college station with a friend to watch the Gators and it was exciting to see them! I really like the play of auguste and rothe/thomas are good but just not consistent enough. To the eye it seems like I.Martin is def a good enough passer and she is constantly targeted, but makes good passes nonetheless. I was very nervous about playing A&M and LSU but glad we got the wins, but somehow fell one in the rankings LOL. My friend mentioned to me that Ellie is a good serve receive libero but not as good defensively, which I kinda agree LOL. Also, Essix has posted she is out for the season. Can't wait for the game tomorrow!

I'm glad Essix didnt waste her final year of eligibility at this point, even if she doesn't use her last year at UF. In the FSU match, I loved having Rothe as M1 hitting on the right 2 rotations and Essix as M2. This was successful with Dixon last season before Stucky's injury. I know we want to get Auguste as many swings as possible, but if she was M2 that lets Rothe hit more often where she's been more successful so far. And Essix still had 21 attempts in that match as the M2. I think I Martin has been playing OH2 as well more recently and she started at OH1. This made sense when KMart was out and we needed a back row attack in more rotations, but idk why we've kept with it. I think ACF does better offensively at OH2 as well. This more likely has to do with passing rotations and letting Martin pass more than ACF. Things I wish the media could/would ask VB coaches. Rotation: S - Stucky OH - Martin MB - Auguste RS - Martin OH - ACF MB - Rothe

Rothe did great when she stood in for K Mart during her absence. As MB she has faded on offense lately. Perhaps settings is still improving with Stuckey and that accounts for what’s happening with Rothe. Hope everything starts clicking consistently as it looked the last two matches.

Feel terrible for Florida. Last year they were on the heals of giving my badgers an butt whoopin, then with one play all of that gone. I hope Stuckey gets back to her old form. Florida was robbed.

Elli is roughly 200 digs away from #1 in Florida history. With 9 regular season games & (at least) 1 post-season game. Do we think she will hit it? She would have to average roughly 20 digs a match.
