Elli is roughly 200 digs away from #1 in Florida history. With 9 regular season games & (at least) 1 post-season game. Do we think she will hit it? She would have to average roughly 20 digs a match. Maybe if the last 10 games are all 5 setters. That would be about 4 digs/set, which is in line with her career stat of 3.97 digs/set. But no, Florida needs a deep run in the tournament for McKissock to have a shot at the record. She's got at least 30 sets in front of her. A run to the national championship game would give her at least 15 more. Then sprinkle in more sets in that extremely hypothetical 15 game stretch that wont be sweeps. Lots of ifs ha. More likely, she has a shot at the sets played (514) and matches played (147) records. She's currently at 486 and 134. If she stays healthy, she'll break the sets played record easily, which is pretty cool. Florida would need to reach the Regional Finals for her to tie the matches played record. The digs record is 2138 and Elli is at 1928 as of today pre Arkansas for those curious.

Martin with back to back program record tying 31 kill performances. She also had a double double tonight with 10 digs.
Parks with back to back matches taking the setting reigns from Stucky down 0-1 and winning 3-1 against Tennessee and Arkansas.

Would be special. 190 digs away from tying the school record.

Can someone please explain to me how this roster is going to work next season? Assuming Essix returns as redshirt, it looks like: # Full Name Pos Class 1 Ella Vogel L So. 2 Bella Lee L So. 3 Devin Dzienny L Fr 4 Lily Hayes L Fr 5 Emerson Hoyle L/DS Sr. 6 Emily Canaan L/DS Sr. 7 Gaby Cornier L/DS R-So. 8 Gabrielle Essix MB R-Sr. 9 Amaya Thomas MB Sr. 10 Jaela Auguste MB So. 11 Alec Rothe MB So. 12 De McMillian MB Fr 13 Madi Gravlee OH R-So. 14 Kira Hutson OH R-So. 15 Lauren Harden OH So. 16 Kennedy Martin OH/RS Jr. 17 Alexis Stucky S R-Jr 18 Taylor Parks S So.
7 littles, 5 middles. Even if Mary wants to go into portal, who is dropped?

Yeah, curious how Florida keeps both Stucky and Parks happy as both deserve to be starting setters

Yeah, curious how Florida keeps both Stucky and Parks happy as both deserve to be starting setters Maybe a 6-2 next year?? Traditional substitutions, not a chance you take Kennedy off the floor. Best guess, setters substitute for middles when they rotate to the back row. Will need to have a few outside hitter being able to play 6 rotations, or use the libero for the back row outside. Let the right side hitters play middle back (what Martin typically already does). Suggest Rothe for the other right. May need to find a DS for Rothe. Tricky part is whether or not the rights are able to pass in serve receive - I do not think Kennedy passes presently.

Even if Mary wants to go into portal, who is dropped? I do not think it can exist. If 18 is the max, then some may be given the “yeah, we need to talk” conversation - especially if there’s a chance someone enters the portal that Mary & crew want to pick up. Look at the past few years and you will see a trend of UF picking up a portal player (or two, or three…). I am thinking they will hope to land a play-ready libero despite having an army of littles. Maybe another battle-tested outside if none on the bench are ready/healthy.

Yeah, curious how Florida keeps both Stucky and Parks happy as both deserve to be starting setters Maybe a 6-2 next year?? I don't think Parks would be unhappy next year sitting behind Stucky in a 5-1 as a serving sub. She signed up to play 2 years behind Stucky. Now 2026...that's a different story and I'd expect a transfer or new system. We don't have a proven 6 rotation outside who can pass next year so that would be a necessary portal pick up for a 2 setter system. I hate the idea of a 6-2. Look at Texas now. No one has won with it in recent memory (or ever?). That being said, Stucky and Parks have both gotten a lot of in game reps with these players so a 2 setter system could work. I did love our 5-2 in 2017 and it got us far. I've thought about us switching to this this year even, but K Martin would likely need to play OH in a 5-2. If we did a 5-2 this season (I Martin and McKissock would be passing 2 for 3 rotations, which they effectively are now): 1. Stucky (Parks) - S 2. K Martin (6 rotations) - OH1 3. Thomas (libero) - MB2 4. Rothe or Harden (Canaan) - RS 5. I Martin (6 rotations) - OH2 6. Auguste (libero) - MB1

Florida is 1 Kentucky loss from being in control of their own destiny for the SEC Championship thanks to Texas' collapse.

Anyone know why K-Mart still doesn’t show up in the NCAA stats? She’s surely top-10 in kills/set and points/set, but I don’t see her. I wondered if there’s a cutoff, like you need to have played in 50% of your team’s sets. But she has… so idk.
Specifically, she’d be #4 in the nation in kills/set and #3 in points/set. But she doesn’t show up on their list 🤷🏼♂️

Even if Mary wants to go into portal, who is dropped? There are a few ways this goes, as long as Mary gets to pick her starters before anyone leaves, we'll be fine. Having 2 good middles, 2 top of the line setters and a world class right side is a good start for next season. if healthy, plenty of options for the OH positions.
