Wow, some people will pick apart any player. Parks is a freshman sharing time with a great player coming back from injury. She has done fabulous work and we don't want her going nowhere. It is an insult to suggest Parks belongs on a mid major team after what she has shown as just a freshman in the SEC this year. Eh many in the field know she was set for a mid major if not for getting the preferred walk on offer as a back up to Stuck due to her relationship with Wise. She out landed her ranking due to the connection, willingness to play backup to a nationally recruited setter and also her not needing a scholly due to getting in state money. All of the in state back row specialists coming in are in similar circumstances which is why Mary keeps so many on Like I said Parks has improved tremendously with the expert coaching there but she is not high D-1 material and it shows. It’s not just VT chatter. The lack of Stuckey’s expertise had them losing to USF, GTech etc, and now lower in the rankings than they’ve been in years. Stuckey re-entering part time has helped, and I don’t blame her for not being at 100 percent at all, but can’t wait for her to be back at it full time. Still, Parks is a freshman stepping into starting setter role at UF none-the-less from high school and performing, I would say, better than most of the other setters in the SEC. No, we did not win every game with her but none of our great setters of the past went undefeated either. I think the statement about her going to a mid-major is just not warranted. I sure don't know what is on her mind and perhaps that is exactly what will happen if Stucky fully takes over again when she is 100%. If it does happen I think it would be wise to have a good tested backup setter if Parks want to stay here. Would be welcomed by me.

I wonder if not having K Martin on the court played a part in those USF and Georgia Tech losses.

Parks has played in 62 total sets where she was the setter and earned 708 assists.
11.42 assists/set is pretty elite, especially for a freshman.
Best in the SEC, among all setters, by a significant margin.

I think the poster is removing sets where she was only a serving sub and Stucky was the setter. Parks has a great serve and Mary has used her once or twice a set while Stucky is the starting setter

KM is going to follow her. She deserves a shot at a natty every year.

Can Nebraska fans maybe not infiltrate this thread to talk about one of our program’s best players transferring? Do that in your own thread please <3

And Parks with her fourth Freshman of the week award! Could she get FOY? I know her stats are wonky because of her serving sub role at times, but when she’s been the starting setter her stats have been so good.
Side note… what the heck. Grome got Setter of the week (and player of the week?!) when Parks was right there with better stats. I feel like they gave it to Grome simply because Kentucky won at least a share of the title this week 🙄
Honestly, Cos-Okpalla should have been player of the week but whatever. Her stats were insane.

Do you comedians say this about any other player playing for any other coach or school? What, because Bre Kelley is at Pitt and Beason chose Nebraska, all of a sudden Florida is perceived to be the place that great talent starts at but doesn't finish? Bah humbug. Show me one thread where people are speculating about who is leaving Dan Fischer's program. What about the Second Coming in Lincoln? He's had PLENTY of birds leave the nest, and yet, do you hammer/speculate that Big Red is EVER going to lose their top tier kids? The criticism and speculation of Mary Wise and the Florida program is unfounded and unfair. I so want the Gators to turn the tables on all of this chatter and get players with eligibility to transfer TO Florida and join the incredible group of young women representing UF. the transfer portal tea thread has a decent amount of posts about hypothetical Babcock and Stafford transfers with the circulating rumors of Dan getting the USA job Also, plenty of posts pondering Choboy leaving.
