I'm pulling for JMU simply because they are the only non-P5 team remaining.

I'm pulling for JMU simply because they are the only non-P5 team remaining. Me too. I would really like Virginia Tech to win tonight against UCLA. Hopefully at least one of them can pull it off. But James Madison is toast today. if they are going to the WCWS, it's gonna happen with a win tomorrow. They'll need Alexander to completely shake off what happened today and bounce back tomorrow. It'll be her first loss of the year.

UCLA goes with Garcia. She gives up a hit, but gets out of it. All 4 batters at least made decent contact though. VT was stymied last night.. they have to be at least encouraged by the start.
Let's see if Rochard can be rock solid yet again.

omg... Virginia Tech's 2B has cost them three times in two innings. Only two errors officially, but the 3rd she definitely could have made the out. Inning-ending double play potentially cost on this error.
UCLA 2-0. Virginia Tech up against it.

Just got home and turned it on to see UCLA up 3-0 in the fourth. They nearly got a fourth run, but after a wild pitch, the Virginia Tech catcher quickly gathered the ball and dived back to the plate at the same time that the runner was diving. It was close, but the runner was called out to end the inning.

Virginia Tech just made another error, and UCLA immediately punished them with a three-run bomb to go up 6-0. Virginia Tech is very likely done.

They had a real chance to go to the WCWS. If you said UCLA would only score two runs yesterday, Virginia Tech probably would have took that deal. They had an opportunity, but their offense couldn't muster anything at all yesterday. One Bracket is essentially filled now - #3 Alabama vs. #11 Arizona - #2 UCLA vs. #10 Florida State. All four have won NC's before. Three have done it this decade. Arizona last did it in 2007 - but they have a ton of titles. The other Bracket will have just one NC (Oklahoma). It's important to note that only the losers of Day 2 (Winner's Bracket Friday) will cross over to the other bracket. Otherwise, you stay in your bracket.

Missouri up 1-0 after a leadoff homer to right center. Alexander allowed a couple other runners to get on but struck out the side to end the inning.

James Madison ties the game at 1-1 on a sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth. Prior to this play, Missouri botched a rundown between first and second that eventually allowed the runner to advance. There was one out when this happened, so it allowed the next batter to get the sac fly.

Mizzou is lucky that throw from center didn't get far enough away to possibly score two runs. JMU with a leadoff single to start the 5th. Hmmmmm. This game's interesting. I dunno, after an early score and not much from JMU's offense, I was thinking they were going to roll. Not so fast!

James Madison goes ahead 2-1 on a two-out RBI single to center.
Edit: Now 3-1 after Missouri couldn't handle a chopper to shortstop.

Yeah, I'm not sure they would have got the runner anyway without a perfect throw, but it did allow the other runner to move up and eventually score.
