James Madison hits a three-run shot to tie the game at 3-3. I think Oklahoma might want to go back to G Juarez at this point.

Time and time again, ESPN, and it's 'rules experts' have been routinely wrong on the information they are broadcasting. Embarrassing. At least this time they didn't frame it as 'breaking news' instead of 'my mistake'. Also, a spare pool noodle being placed under the fence in the middle of the WCWS Semifinals is just a terrible look. Was the runner not on first base when the pitch was thrown? If so, it's two bases on a ground rule double. It's not like MLB where they have discretion. Edit: Or are you saying that ESPN got the call wrong initially? I was in the other room, so I didn't see the play live. ESPN's Rule Expert came on the broadcast and said that it was a 'judgment call' and the umpires can award whichever bases they see fit and reasonably expect the runner would have earned.

Yeah, that is pretty embarrassing for the rules expert to get that wrong. That's something they should just know off the top of their head. These rules experts are usually former umpires or officials that have a lot of experience and know the rulebook like the back of their hand.

Oklahoma up 4-3 after Jennings hits an RBI double. James Madison is lucky it's not worse, as Alo hit an absolute bomb that was just a bit foul.

Alexander struck out Alo but then gave up a two-run blast to dead center. Oklahoma now up 6-3.

Wow, James Madison had the tying run at the plate, but May got the strikeout swinging to end the game.

Heartbreaking for JMU. They outhit Oklahoma, had a chance to get something going in the bottom of the 6th with their two best hitters due up 3rd and 4th. Oklahoma makes yet another great diving catch -- and they respond with a leadoff bunt, and they bust it open.
Well, I think Alexander can bring it. At least she was off yesterday. OU's pitching has been stretched now. Have to imagine Juarez gets the start later tonight.
This is very exciting. Oklahoma's home crowd advantage is no joke. A lot of softball fans strongly dislike this, but, where else will a tournament like this be held? I'm really not crazy about the temporary fences though. They don't look as bad as you would think for temporary fences on TV, though.

Alabama/Florida State is scoreless in the first inning, and the game is in a weather delay. Hopefully, it won't last for too long.

Oklahoma's home crowd advantage is no joke. Yeah. I wish certain NCAA sports didn't have these automatic championship home field advantages. Or even non-automatic but often repeated advantages like just how often the volleyball championship gets played in Nebraska.

Rain delay is finally over. Apparently if Florida State wins, both deciding games will move to tomorrow. That would be a big break for James Madison, as I have to imagine Alexander will be more effective with a night of rest instead of having to pitch twice in one day.
