Usa sleepwalking into the finals with more questions than answers… The women's tournament fails in comparison with the men's this year for sure. At least for the gals the teams biggest tests are going to come towards the end of the tournament. For the boys, their first two weeks are some of their toughest competition right out of the gate and there are very few cupcake opponents. Yeah I kinda wish we got to see more substitutions and how some players are off the bench. Or higher stakes / competition in general like the men’s side lol.

Drews will start. Once all things settle and we're done with the rotating players stage, she'll solidify that starting job. Past few weeks have been all fun and games for everyone so I'm not really keen on judging everyone's performance just yet.

Lol mbh can handle the oos. Why will you bring kp as weak passer you think they will not target her every serve? She struglle against canada c team. How much more if she receives a ball ftom serbian and egonu's serve?
Hill is solid. She better passer and defender at the back. They just need more time and work that connection.

You don't need too much hitters if you have opposite who's the main role is to attack and a mb with help of left side.

Hancock is still in competition with other 2 setters. I think she is actually at top as of moment because of that jump serve.the missing peace of usa ✌️.
Also plummer/swp stan. Krob-larson and hill-mbh are coming. It's too obvious karch is pairing these 4.

Just watched the match in like 15 minutes. Expected outcome.
I hope Karch lets KP and SWP play all three matches next weekend (not necessarily together).

But she didn’t really struggle against DR who is way better than Canada.. she also played next to Larson that match. It’s all about the makeup. SWP + Plummer is a no. SWP + Larson or KP + Larson is possible.

I didn’t see the purpose in playing Plummer and SWP together in the first place since that won’t be the scenario either of them would be asked to step up for anyway if they went to Tokyo. There’s no chance both KRob and Larson sit in any important match for the Olympics IMO. One of them will be out there, either paired with the other or paired with one of the remaining OH.

If Hill doesn’t play well with the other setters than KP or SWP are in. Seems silly not to take KP for the future since Larson/MBH and Robo will likely start every match… but sometimes you need someone to put the ball down on the left when the team struggles. (I hate that I keep having to do this because I actually like Plummer but) when has she demonstrated an ability to put the ball away against good competition yet? She had a good game against DR and was horrible against Canada. Wilhite literally lit up Brazil and was better against Canada and as far as being that “OOS Hammer” for the USA she couldn’t do that against a weaker Canada team when she had plenty of OOS chances....

Why are y’all acting like Plummer has done anything to solidify herself over Wilhite. Let alone the big 4. Wilhite has been much better than her so far She had a good match against DR. Sample size is small for both players. Again, Plummer brings something different to the table that nobody else has. Everyone else is just more of the same. Hill was leading the pack last go around because MBH wasn’t who she is today and neither was Robinson. They doesn’t mean Hill won’t bounce back with elite setting. Neither KP or SWP have been tested against real top competition. So nothing really matters until that day happens.

DR block is bigger than Brazil. Plummer hit well against DR.
