She had a good match against DR. Sample size is small for both players. Again, Plummer brings something different to the table that nobody else has. Everyone else is just more of the same. Hill was leading the pack last go around because MBH wasn’t who she is today and neither was Robinson. They doesn’t mean Hill won’t bounce back with elite setting. Neither KP or SWP have been tested against real top competition. So nothing really matters until that day happens. so you’re gonna ignore SWP insane match against Brazil in favor of Plummers good match against DR? Got it One match. PUMP. THE. BREAKS. |

Plummer stan take it easy 😂. Vnl is not real competition. Plummer is different from other OHs because she can't pass! And if you think she can kill every OOS is craziness, then let her play opposite.
The team need to pass because that's how they perform better. Unless you have egonu, Boskovic, haak who can smash that ball everytime you have poor reception. Which i believe mbh can better deliver than plummer lol.
Swp has better chance than plummer if you compare the stats and how the perform both. But i will not take 1 out of 4 OHs. I still believe this vnl isn't enough when you are playing against b/c team and still scrambling the lineup.

Lmao some people are really spending time hating on Plummer even when she isn't even there!
I don't think her aim should be Tokyo, this is her debut at this level, she's the youngest player on this group and needs to connect with her teammates more. Still a very long way.
I just don't understand why she wasn't even in the 14-people roster though, Serbia and Netherlands were literally playing with their youngsters and the youngest American player wasn't even in the roster. I guess the aim is to win VNL again, it's fine if the staff,theplayers and the fans are okay with it.

You’re not medaling at the olympics if you’re fourth outside isn’t different than the starters. Past USA coaches have understood this. Nnamani and Kim Willoughby were not brought to the olympics because they were stellar ball controllers. They were brought to kill the ball when needed. It maybe be wise to use a Plummer and a JT for a left side sub in the front row to get some kills than it is to have a 4th outside that’s just that’s a weaker version of Larson or MBH..

Unfortunately we cannot see that in vnl because they are playing against weaker team. Thought on this match:
Hancock - for me she played well with her serves disrupting the offense of the opponent and her 1-2 plays surprising the opponents. Her sets were place well, most of the time, in zone 2 (slide and front opposite). She had great connection with MBH, but not with hill. She needs to connect better when setting opposites in the back court.
Tapp and Washington - they also played well. Hannah trying to close the gap between her and wa%*$#on. I think Foluke and Chi are lock.
MBH - played better compared to that match against Serbia. Again, she still has to improve her serve receives.
Hill - played okay. I thought she looked great defensively. But, offensively, still not there. I think she really wants faster sets and that’s where she excels. OOS attacking is not really her style. She’ll either get blocked or serve it out. Dang it Glass and Wolsz, why did you have to spoil her.
Courtney - nothing extra worth commenting. She was okay I guess.
JT - her only problem really is defense and connecting better with setters especially when she’s on the back row. Other than that, I thought she played well.
