Right now i just want hill to reappear her 2014-2020 offensive form peak at the right time comes OG and everyone y'all surprise.
Mbh and krob are not superb.
Poulter's set to pin are not looking great.
Hancock should be starter
But i do think the team are just not playing at their best against weaker team. I mean i would rather give 1000% if i will play against big dogs but not against team b/c, not the worthy to give and show china, serbia and italy what your team has.

Well one poster suggested Larson is only on the team due to white privilege. Just Larson? yes.. white privilege and USAV politics I believe it was.

Always the what have you done for me lately mentality. We won yes we dropped a set better now than later. Clean some things up. Congrats on the win.

Courtney and Carlini looked like they were sticking together for the team picture. They probably know how the other is feeling more than anyone else. If I were them I’d just keep my mask on instead of having to force a smile 😂 but I’m a weirdo.

i think people are mad about the roster.. so every mistake anyone from the floor makes, its taken as an opportunity to point out why their pick should have been chosen instead. and i mean every single mistake, a new way to point it out.. i think the only position that haven't really been the target is MB. It's sad. The only thing this team can do is win gold otherwise the second-guessing will be brutal. And even if they win it'll be, for some, that the rest of the world was down that Olympics. It's just too much. That's all. I don't expect people to be cheerleaders. I just wish there was a little more perspective. Perfection is an impossible goal. yup exactly! i totally agree... i really hope they medal or poulter/hancock, kim/mbh/larson and jwo would never be forgiven ... but who's to say that if the other people got in, that we would win. not also a guarantee. but yeah, i agree with you.

I know people won't like to hear this, but I'm actually a fan of losing a few sets and even a match or two during this VNL. Too much winning makes players and the team get complacent and forget how to win when they're down.
I also think there are some raw emotions which haven't been processed yet by some of the players, after the Olympic roster was announced. Give them all a moment to process. I mean, I'm certain there are players who are gutted for those who didn't make the Tokyo 12.

Part of me kiiiinda wishes that China kicks our butt and that we end up not winning the VNL. I think that would do us good in the long run. Idk, I could be off base, but when we didn't make it to the finals of the Grand Prix in 2014, the US really worked hard in the time off and they ended up winning the WCH in 2014.

You'd have to go back to 2008 for a year where the VNL/WGP winning team also did well at the major competition of the same year.
In fact, usually teams that did well at the VNL/WGP choke in the major competition (e.g. USA and TUR in 2018 VNL)

I agree. I said weeks ago that I don't think it's good for the USA to win the VNL.
I want the team to be hungry for wins at the Olympics.
