Saw this a few days ago. No McLoughlin and no Miller-Uibo means the 400 is gonna be a snooze fest 😞 Michael Norman’s also pulled out of the championships as well miller-uibo was there, she ran in the 400 prelims Yeah, was more referring to having a full-strength Miller-Uibo in competition. Glad she was able to compete and hope to see her dominate in Paris, but a 400 final without her isn’t as fun

Anna Hall takes silver in the hep Missed opportunities (and some sort of injury problem) and this brit having the best hep of her life Disappointing for Hall after what she did earlier this year, but back-to-back medals in one of the hardest events is an incredible accomplishment. Thrilled for KJT getting back to the top of the podium after the injury back in Tokyo. Her heptathlon back in Doha 2019 was miraculous too!

More bad news for the Dutch, as Sifan Hassan fell on the final straightaway in a women's 10K that she was leading. I think T&F hates the Dutch. Bol and Hassan were strides away from medals. Oof.

Lol, you mean 2019 world championship gold medalist Katarina Johnson-Thompson? This was not the best heptathlon of her life, as she scored 6981 points at worlds in 2019. A shame that Nafissatou Thiam didn't compete at this meet. When healthy, Thiam is incredible to watch.

A little under the radar, maybe, but Broadbell (12.94 a month ago) crashed out of his 110 hurdles heat, which makes Holloway a massive favorite for the gold - Broadbell is the only person to beat Holloway this year, I think.
Not sure what happened to Britton Wilson - set the college mark of 49.1-something not too long ago, finished dead last in her heat today barely breaking 54s and was carted off in a wheelchair. Bummer.

So happy for her. The work she put in after the Olympic trials to get to this point.
