No one "has" to release their rosters to the public, just in case anyone was confused about the process. Canada, for Rio, didn't release theirs until two weeks before the Games started, where as the US released theirs about four weeks before the Games began.

The whole thing is a bit confusing lol but I’m excited to see them start rolling out (hopefully) soon

I wonder how many alternates are normally on the roster...I feel like for the women it was 2-4 in 2000, and maybe 4 in one of the Barboza years (can't recall which of the three it was) and now they have 6 and the men have 8. It seems excessive, but understandable with covid.

If A. Russell recovers better than expected, can Speraw sub him in before the Olympics? What happened to Russell? Is he injured?

What happened to Russell? Is he injured? Yes, hip injury What bad timing. So it was bad enough to keep him out of the Olympics? I would have assumed he was a lock up and starter based on last few years' performance.

I would have assumed he was a lock up and starter based on last few years' performance. he was definitely a lock to start but he had to get hip surgery. I think the timing is pretty cruel in that he'll probably get healthy after the Olympics end unless the PT goes exceptionally well.

There’s so many great teams I’m excited to see the drama of it all haha

Without him...if Argentina gets its act together there's a decent but low chance we could get kicked out of the pool.

This feels homophobic especially during Pride Month. Queerphobic.

I am utterly content with this roster. That is NOT how I felt about the women's roster, though, I am warming up to theirs day by day.
