Does Kosheleva's retirement really impact the Russian NT all that much? I feel like Fedorovtseva and Voronkova will be sufficient. It's weird timing... and makes her VNL appearance kinda wasteful. Arina is going to get passed off the court in Tokyo. honestly can they make gonch pass again and put fedorovtseva as a non passing OH or even just flip their positions? |

I think normally I'd consider Serbia better, but if this particular matchup happens then probably Italy would be favorites. Since to get to the matchup Serbia would have to lose to Brazil if they're 2nd/3rd in pool. Of course if Italy is 4th and Serbia is 1st then Serbia is a strong favourite. |

They also haven't lost to brazil at a major competition. I think Serbia is locked in #1 Pool A for sure, but if they play badly enough to lose to Brazil, they probably aren't beating Italy (who would have likely lost to one of USA/China, maybe both) |
