By the way, I heard from someone who heard the commentator say that the deadline for rosters is July 5 I’ve mentioned on the men’s side, but On FIVB/Olympic Games website the only thing I can see is “Sports deadline” on July 5th. So perhaps that is the “final” deadline for teams of all sports but it’s not clear. |

Team USAs roster is going to live and die by krobs offense, mbh serve receive, and overall defense in zone 1, any combination of which can be great or subpar in a given game. I’m bored of watching them beat up on other countries B/C teams and come up short in the major competitions. Will they be able to consistently produce at the olympics? Thank goodness we will find out soon enough.

When is the deadline to make changes to the Tokyo roster?
Soccer allows for a roster of 18 at the Olympics, but the alternates can replace a players in case of serious injury, even after the games have begun. Why is volleyball different?
Do the world governing bodies of their respective sport dictate roster replacements or does the IOC dictate those rules?
