Looking at the FIVB stats, if the US makes it to the semis, JWO is in good contention for the best libero award. Fourth in digs/set and the No. 1 receiver of the tournament so far.

Coming into this summer season with VNL and Tokyo, weren't we thinking China, Serbia and Italy were the 3 teams who were better than USA? Well, you can win a gold by only having to beat one of them in elimination rounds. You handled Brazil with relative ease twice in VNL, have beaten Turkey pretty consistently, beaten Italy in the prelims. You should like USA's chances. They also seem to play cleaner than others. Now that I have said that, I am sure they'll go out and lose to DOM ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So how does this QF field compare to Rio? QFs in Rio were: USA x Japan China x Brazil Serbia x Russia Netherlands x Korea So pretty similar. China x Brazil being the surprise QF as China didn't play well in pool play and was #4 in Pool B. Turkey is the NED of Tokyo. |

So how does this QF field compare to Rio? I'd say a tad more lopsided, mainly due to the 2A/2B and 3A/3B pairings. If we had Italy/Korea and Serbia/Turkey, I think it would be a bit more balanced. I think Pool B in Tokyo was harder than in Rio. In Rio, fifth place Italy was a non-factor in placement, but here, fifth placed China had a huge impact on the pool standings with their sweep of Italy. |

Ok, I will prepare and post. if you bring up me predicting that China would have done well this olympics as a false prediction then you better flame the entire board along with me Ok, here it is. Please feel free to compose a list of my posts. Russia played the best volleyball I’ve seen this olympics at points during the China match. Fedortseva is actually insane and is going to be one of the best players in the world when she gets older. That being said usa is going to sweep or Russia is going to win in 4 messy sets. Thank you

do you even know what team Hancock played for this past club season? I’ve never seen you add anything of value to any international volleyball thread ever. Only trashing Carlini and praising Hancock. I’m genuinely curious if you know anything about this or are just stanning Hancock because she’s from PSU. I was team Hancock but she was absolutely horrid in her limited action against Russia last night. YEA, you’re clueless
Russia is the favorite lmao. When they play like they did last night I don’t think anyone can beat them WRONG, Turkey beat them last night.
