"Football is a simple game. Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win."

England beat Germany today I didn't know this until I looked it up, but England--who has won the World Cup before--has never won the European Championship. They haven't won a major title since 1966. This draw is as good as ever for them

Wasn't Gioli drinking a coke at the Olympics during a game one time?

I didn't know this until I looked it up, but England--who has won the World Cup before--has never won the European Championship. 1966 was great year for Britain......................the Beatles, James Bond and the World Cup ruled the world. It was a 9AM Pacific time match. I watched it in a English themed pub with dozens of English expats.........................some were crying at the conclusion of this match Nice. I don't really care about the Euros, but I do like England and always root for them in the World Cup. It's probably because my entire ancestry is from the British Isles. I really enjoyed their run to the semifinal in the last World Cup, and I hope they win their second title sometime in my lifetime.

And now for the ugly part. ๐ That didn't look intentional. I guess it doesn't have to be?

And now for the ugly part. ๐ That didn't look intentional. I guess it doesn't have to be? Yeah, and he also played the ball first. I don't know enough about soccer to really say with any certainty, but on Reddit, the opinion seems fairly divided between those who think this is a clear red card and those who think it's overly harsh and should have been a yellow card instead.

It was nice to see Unai Simon save the day for Spain after that embarrassing own goal against Croatia.

How bad was the Ukraine defending today? Answer- very bad. So England has 2 matches at home to win it's biggest trophy in forever, and they get to play Denmark in the first match. Feels like it could happen, which is probably a very bad sign!

Feels like it could happen, which is probably a very bad sign! Yeah, if I remember correctly, the England fans were feeling pretty good going into their World Cup semi with Croatia in 2018. I am starting to think that England might be the best team in the world for the first time in my life. If they win this tournament, they'll likely be the World Cup favorite next year.
