When China beat USA at VNL. The Chinese media used the word Pang Chou which literally meant fat punch to describe that defeat.

I really am hoping that the USA just had a bad night. Right now Italy and clearly Turkey look like the best teams in the pool. I know the USA played bad today, I just hope they can at least be competitive in the coming games. Playing like they did today, ain't gonna cut it.

Carlini, the perfect whack-a-mole. And up she pops. We are just tired of the US looking sloppy and inconsistent compared to the other big teams. Turkey played beautiful volleyball today. USA didn't. That is why bringing a less experienced setter to the Olympics is pretty risky. Hopefully Poulter gets her act together and the team can maybe pull off a win tomorrow. |

You keep saying that, but nothing has indicated that the US is not competitive against any of the teams. They’ve beat this same Turkey twice very conveniently less than a month ago. Saying Turkey is ahead of them now just because they beat China and you hope that the US will be competitive against them is just… |
