Damn KYK came up clutch with that block at 9-all, then the ace right after.
Korea vs. Japan is already a huge rivalry game, but I feel like now it is going to be even more of a heated match.

I don't know what's better for DR in that Korea/Japan match. Have a relaxed Japan team beat Korea and already mathematically qualified to the QF's by the time they play, or, have Korea beat Japan and force it to be a winner-take-all. Either way, a DR win over Japan will likely advance them, so, I don't know if Japan playing with pressure or not is better. The real wrench in the equation though is if Japan beats Brazil. Then, it gets way more messy.

Also, let's take this time to appreciate Dominican Republic's only Olympic victories in their history:
They've won three.
Algeria. United Kingdom. and..... USA.
That's also the most DR thing, ever.

Lol I went back a few months ago to watch a UK match from London....it was...rough. The coach was endearing, though.

I’m so confused by what the most likely outcomes for pool A are now Assume Brazil beats Japan, Serbia beats Korea, DR beats Kenya in 3-4 sets: -If South Korea beats Japan, they are 100% going to the QF's. DR-Japan would be a winner take all. -If Japan beats Korea in 3 or 4 sets, Japan is 100% going to the QF's given the assumptions above. If Japan beats Korea in 5, it's messy. Any combination of DR/KOREA/Japan could advance. -DR must beat Japan to advance. It is likely any DR win would knock out either Korea or Japan depending on what happens in their match.

I guess Lavarini is gonna get Korea out of this group, which is pretty incredible given their personnel losses, so whatever he did worked. South Korea just might beat Japan without Koga and DR/Japan becomes a winner-take-all match. OR, Japan beats Korea and already clinches a QF spot by the time DR/Japan plays. In that scenario, with DR's two 5-set losses, any win would likely advance them over Korea. Haven’t been able to watch as much as I would like. What happened to Koga?
