And what evidence do you have for that statement? Well apparently they’re not commenting on his vaccination status for “privacy” reasons, so yeah…. He didn’t get the shot. And that's his choice to not get it. We've seen athletes with and without the vaccine test positive. Unfortunate that he won't get his chance.

But since he’s not vaccinated, he’s more likely to get it and more likely to spread it to others and ruin the Olympic dreams of people he comes into contact with. his choice, I guess….

NBC needs too learn one simple maxim for broadcasting athletics: We want mo' Mu! (This goes to USATF in selecting the 4x4 team, too)

Surely they (NBC) have to... without Sha'carri... Mu is going to be a marketing goldmine.. nike knows.

Anyone who has seen even a few minutes of Mu running and a few minutes of her talking should know that she's a marketer's dream.

Felix probably, but Muhammad (400mh) could have a say somewhere too. Speaking of McLaughlin, she appears to be the new media darling post Allyson Felix's reign. They need to add Mu up in there too.

Hmm, Mu is definitely more personable than McLaughlin from what I've seen. But she's also more personable than most athletes. NBC should be able to market both. I'm not sure who they're promoting on the men's side, but I have to imagine that Trayvon Brommell is near the top of that list, mostly because he's currently the fastest man in the world in the 100 (excluding Coleman, who is banned), and that's the biggest race in the world. I would imagine that Ryan Crouser will get a lot of attention too, as he's also a personable guy who broke the three-decade-old shotput world record at the trials.

First big notes, American pole vaulter Sam Kendricks, who was almost a shoe-in for a medal and had a shot at gold, tests positive for COVID and is out for the Games. maybe change title to Track and Field since pole vault isn't a track event? Athletics??? is this a British thing, like football for soccer? I did see that syncrhronized swimming and rythmic gymnastics have new names, but track & field is still track & field.

On the NBC app, the "Track and Field Session 2" description says it's only showing high jump, but it looks like you'll be able to see all the heats they aren't showing on the main network.
The preliminaries for the Women's 100 (to get into the main heats with the top stars - this is only for those from smaller countries with lesser times) is starting now.
