Russia played the best volleyball I’ve seen this olympics at points during the China match. Fedortseva is actually insane and is going to be one of the best players in the world when she gets older. That being said usa is going to sweep or Russia is going to win in 4 messy sets. Thank you I think she'll be at the top before Paris hits. Incredible talent. I believe Russia has another youngster (Tatiana Kadochkina) that's pretty good? They have some arms in the pipeline

I feel like Gamova, Sokolova or Artimanova should have a kid playing by now

Poor Hancock. She didn't work less hard than any other player and she didn't steal her spot from anyone. She was chosen by the coaching staff. People really need to let her be. They can be mad at the coaching staff, but really shouldn't be mad at Hancock. What did you expect her to do? To decline the spot that was offered to her? This has nothing to do with her personally and everything to do with the coaches bringing the best players to compete for Olympic gold. The fact that she didn't play today when everyone else did says a lot. If they believed in her then she would have been on the court. Everyone else got a shot to "out-team" Turkey.. why not her? I even said she should have been given a shot to serve in sets 3-4 to see what could have happened. Poulter visible struggled... everyone saw it but the staff didn't give Hancock a shot. Seems strange to me especially when Karch spoke about why he choose the setters and specifically mentioned Hancocks serve. The fact that they chose her, they believed she was the best option. We may disagree with that choice, but it doesn't give us the right to be mean to her.

Games against Russia are always great. They are very good as is the USA. We have to be ready.

Haven’t all current volleyball players been warned to stay off VT? This isn’t people reaching out to her on social media or going to her house.

For instance this: "The fact that she didn't play today when everyone else did says a lot. If they believed in her then she would have been on the court. " And you think it would have been different if Carlini was there? You know the coaches would have put her in? We get it. You think Carlini was the better choice. I don't have a horse in this fight. All three are great setters, but can we stop pretending that Hancock is only a serving sub and Karch has no faith in her setting. (FYI, Karch NOT taking Carlini might say a lot about his faith in her setting). I'm always finding myself in the "what the f*ck is Karch thinking" mindset quite often. The decision was made. Carlini is back home. Can we give the Hancock prognostications a rest until she actually gets the court and we get to see her play?

We'll be watching Gonchorova mostly in this match. Camera doesn't shoot anyone else than her in Russia's games, it's kinda annoying lol
