This match makes me nervous. I still have nightmares of Malova digging everything in sight when they swept us at the 2015 World Cup (six years ago I know, but still) šššššššššš Couldnāt watch the match live but it seems my nightmares continue |

there is no way those stats are correct. Theyāve been off all tourney. She had like two Wrong. She had 4 kills when they subbed her out. ok, she was still blocked a few times at that point anyways and got aced. I think her being subbed out was warranted. Either way, her play has not been good for the US so far, and sheās really the only āterminalā OH on the roster. She needs to step it up |

In reading this thread, I most certainly will have to find the replay. Without seeing it, it sounds like the same old song the team has been singing since 2019, and not Kumbaya. Larson and KRob cannot terminate, but at least one has to be on the floor for passing. If MBH isn't on, this team is practically screwed in terms of advancing to a gold medal match. Setting is also inconsistent, and that would still be true if Carlini were there. Either they start to up their play in a way they have rarely shown in 2 years...or, we start planning for Paris and hoping that Parsons and Plummer are able to contribute. Carlini wasnāt inconsistent. She also believed that she was born for this moment. We currently do not have that kind of charisma and belief with Poulter or Hancock. Carlini was and will always be the correct choice to set this team. Who cares if Cheesehad Jesus believed that she was born for this moment? Delusions of grandeur do not a gold medal setter make. It was so predictable that all the Cheesehead Jesus disciples would flood this thread after the Russia beatdown, but does anyone really believe Cheesehead Jesus would have made a difference in this match? |

This argument about who will finish 2nd or 3rd in pool play is a moot point cause 2nd and 3rd place finishers get random draws during these olympics. So even if the US finishes 2nd and. Brazil also finishes 2nd they could end up playing one another in the quarterfinals.

Damn so many of you talk so badly about these athletes that have more talent in their little finger then what you have in your whole body. Saying any athlete sucks that is on this roster is ludicrous. Itās pool play and they had a bad match. Hopefully this fires them up to regroup.
