Damn so many of you talk so badly about these athletes that have more talent in their little finger then what you have in your whole body. Saying any athlete sucks that is on this roster is ludicrous. It’s pool play and they had a bad match. Hopefully this fires them up to regroup. Lol it’s volleytalk 101 bunch of drunk volleyqueens(mostly) thinking their NAGVA medals make them Olympian adjacent or just a bunch of up tight old bitties |

Aside from losing your best scorer in the Olympics...if JT misses a few matches you lose the typically effective complementary pieces of JT/Drews who can sub in for each other when one is struggling. If you get one of those "Bad" Annie matches...what is the play? Is it moving MBH to opposite and using either Hill or *gulp* KRob at OH? I think you'd have to go to Hill there. I don't think you can win with both KRob and Larson at OH. So, naturally, Karch would go with KRob. it is definitely NOT playing Hill at OH. Karch would *obviously* rather lose. |

Carlini wasn’t inconsistent. She also believed that she was born for this moment. We currently do not have that kind of charisma and belief with Poulter or Hancock. Carlini was and will always be the correct choice to set this team. Who cares if Cheesehad Jesus believed that she was born for this moment? Delusions of grandeur do not a gold medal setter make. It was so predictable that all the Cheesehead Jesus disciples would flood this thread after the Russia beatdown, but does anyone really believe Cheesehead Jesus would have made a difference in this match? You dolt. Nothing to do with Carlini. The team was AWFUL in every phase but defense, and only JWO stood out in that regard. I have never seen the U.S. completely unable to terminate. Poulter can't block and was used like a tissue. We knew Dress couldn't block so there's that as well. I'm not sure why Hill is being iced because Robinson might be the worst terminating outside as this level. |

i havent watched the game yet, but someone spoiled the score so now im here. idk why karch didnt bring megan courtney as an OH um... Because she can't terminate either. Plummer. |

yes because Courtney was going to save the USA with her ability to terminate and NOT get blocked off the court by Goncharova and Co ok but id prefer courtney over MBH. you mean the VNL MVP MBH? And Courtney who has yet to hit at a major tourney for the US? Ok…sit down. |

I argued that the #12 spot doesn’t matter? I don't know, but, didn't you say SWP/Plummer doesn't make this team better the other day? I think I'm with you on Plummer. But, I think SWP could certainly be impactful at this point given what we're seeing. Or at least let's #FreeKimHill a la c4ndlelightBoth would have made a difference. KP could have hit against that block. |

We lost a match, it's not the end of the world and we WILL recover. The mentality of posters wanting to fire KK and saying she's bad or she's the worst, is juvenile thinking. We have to support this team in good and bad times. One mistake and you guys fly off the handle like a child and say get rid of them. Perfection and always winning is a good thing, but it's not sustainable. Are ya'll this hard on yourselves when you don't get something right? |

Finally watched, oof. This match needed some youthful exuberance. Very tight. Poulter played poorly and no production out of the OH. As much as they were out of system Plummer would have scored. Russia was damn near perfect. Can't win them all.
