Most of her points came in the early sets. She became a nonfactor later and was replaced. Her replacement is having a very good Olympic showing. Rosamaria is a much better blocker. And is way more comfortable/better hitting from the left pin in rotation one. MBH will have to be on her game. She was great last night... but 7-7-27 won't cut it against Brazil Yeah, Rosamaria was the revelation I was not expecting nor wishing for. Where's Lorenne when I need her? 😂 I'm just really hoping this is the match MBH turns it around. Stop trying to take those sharp cut shots across court and stop trying to tip into the block like your name was Larson. She needs to attack the MBH-way if she's remotely healthy enough. Also kind of need Poulter to stop setting her so tight but that's another story.

I think he realized that today this U.S. team was just playing at another level. But I was surprised he didn't try harder to fire up his team during their T.O.'s. Terzic didn't need to fire anyone up, he needed to help them! Rotate to put Boskovic against Larson in the front row. USA was taking Boskovic's line all match and Serbia brought her inside 3 times to attack inside the chasing MBs. He needed to have them set position 4 more than 14 times to at least make USA consider defending it. Milenkovic & Busa were at 45% kill before the match started and got 14 swings in position 4. Bartsch & Larson were at 36% before the match and they got set 45 times! Serbia having to defend z4 is what opened the gates for Drews. Serbia had to defend 9 meters of net, USA only had to defend 6.5 meters of net. USA played at another level, in large part, because Terzic just let them. I would call it bad in game coaching, except that it was NO in game coaching. I’m also shocked Terzic didn’t even at least TRY Brankica. It’s not like Busa was passing well at all either. At least Brankica might have been able to clean up her shanks…. If Mihajlovic was in any shape to play he would have played her. Attack from the left wing is exactly the antidote Serbia needed. Imaginary conversation between Busa and Terzic in a time out: Bianca Busa: we need to set me and Milenkovic more to take some stress off of Tijana. Terzic: Bianca shut up and go do what I taught you to do! Busa (with a perplexed look and tone): You want me to go sit behind Kelsey Robinson???

Reasons to be positive: Attacking, her VNL match against Brazil was terrific and she should be due to have a good offensive match, as the last five haven't been. Even with her attacking being bad, she has found ways to be a positive contributor (serving, serve receive, defense, blocking). Reason to be negative: Her last five matches attacking.

I'd love to see Poulter give her a break.... There were too many perfect passes (or opportunities) that went to the pipe instead of the middle. Haleigh and Foluke should be getting as many attempts as possible against Brazil. Macris is not a strong floor defender (Roberta is better)

Frankly, MBH's attacking scares me. I hope it is better against BRAzil. Tandara is and has been a great player for our rival so maybe it is a positive she will not be available. I haven't seen Roasmaria yet, but some are saying she's very good and likely she is very hungry and ready to prove herself.

(USAV's aren't exactly the same. She was 7-7-27 according to their stats)

Crazy thought, MBH attack was awful vs DR and Serbia in medal round and we smoked both teams. This is a great “team” and MBH contributed in enough ways for us to be successful. I’d love for her to attack better but I’m not so sure she needs to for us to win.

She has been a contributor to USA’s success. Without her I don’t think we are in the gold medal match. Poulter is doing great. This team has a lot of hitters who need/want a different ball and she is doing a pretty good job with that. She is also the youngest member on this team. I see her setting for USA for at least the next two Olympics if she wants to. She still had a ridiculous amount of upside.

I was also surprised that he didn’t try to adjust anything. The team was getting completely demoralized, it’s the most important match of arguably the best Olympic chance for an aging team and he seemed content to let them try to work it out themselves. It was almost…karch-like. It feels like they were overconfident considering their beat down of Italy and didn’t consider the US as big of a threat, they weren’t too concerned with their slow start and never really got into it after that. Like heck, try bjelica, left or right, you never know. They just seemed so sure they were gonna get it together and it didn’t happen. I was kind of split 60/40 between who I was rooting for and this was painful to watch.

Proud of this team. Miss seeing JWO smile, and so happy for her, JL and KROB. It's also quite easy to be a fan of the Serbians given the athletes in their history, and home of one of my favorite teammates. I hope all are proud.
