PR's setter was really good at spreading the ball around. We didn't unless we had to 😒 Both USA coaches (men and women) decided passing wasn't a factor when selecting these squads.I'm not sure this is true. I think it was a matter of athletes able to train and go (and have their clubs OK their late arrival where necessary). I'm sure Karch wanted to give KP + SWP a break before going overseas and that's why we aren't seeing them here. I can't think of any good passing OHs available that USA overlooked.. though McKenzie Adams would've been nice. |

I understand that in NORCECA there are the Haves (USA... maybe Canada but prob not) and the Have Nots (everyone else)... but how can the FIVB even allow a regional federation to play a continental championship and WChamps qualifier without a replay system in place.... in 2021? We’ve elevated to no rain delays in recent years. Don’t start asking for too much!! lololololol this is true. |

The line up that finished Set 4 should have been left alone. They were playing very well. The US coach panicked when PR got lucky on a couple of points in Set 5, putting in Gray and Cuttino again and killed any chance at a victory.

Many decline for various reasons: conflicting life events, injuries, resting to be good for their pro teams, their pro-teams pressuring them to decline, just no general interest in playing for the national team, etc. |

Many decline for various reasons: conflicting life events, injuries, resting to be good for their pro teams, their pro-teams pressuring them to decline, just no general interest in playing for the national team, etc. This team would normally be made up of the best recent NCAA graduates playing before their 1st pro season…..it’s just that they all decided to stay in school this year! |

It’s not mandatory if they have NT commitments, but a club may still not want them missing. The pro teams are the ones paying their salaries. Some players may turn down a NT invite over getting acclimated to their teams. |
