This thread really died as Eau Claire progressed. I guess they may not have a significant alumni base on volleytalk, but congrats to the Blugolds anyway. Eau Claire is the third public school to win the title and the first to do it since Whitewater won in 2005.
The D3 championship game has now been a 3 set sweep every year since Hope beat Emory 3-2 in 2014. That follows a 3 year run where the title game went 5 sets each year.

Final d3 Pablo rankings are posted. www.richkern.com/vb/rankings/PabloShow.asp?VBYear=2021&Div=DIII&week=314-Nov+29Congrats to Eau-Claire on their first title! Here is their post season results tab blugolds.com/sports/wvball/history/npostseason and I don't know the program at all but it looks like they bounced in and out of the NCAAs over the past twenty years with several one or two win appearances. Then in 2018 they advanced to the final four and lost the 5th set by two points. In 2019 they advanced to the NCAAs and were a first round exit and nothing noted in the 2020 COVID season. Then this year they run the table and are NCAA Champions! I like the fact that those freshmen are seniors now and in sorting their stats by Kills 4 of their top 5 are seniors, Assists leader is SO, DPS is Senior. After early success, I am not sure what pointed towards being National Champs this year but know it's tough to be a four year college athlete and think it's awesome that their hard work resulted in this!
