Badgers get 2 and Dayton calls their 2nd timeout.

SE ends it 25-23.
Last set was not that convincing. But a sweep none the less.

After an ugly first set, the Flyers held their own in S2 and S3. Unfortunate that they ended on two SE's; looking forward to a set win tomorrow!

Dayton actually hit a touch more efficiently that last set and outserved the badgers - aces and 2 errors as opposed to no aces and 5 errors. They had more blocks. Having a hard time seeing where the badgers got the points to win that set.

Barnes Came out strong, but didn't finish as strong. Looking forward to tomorrow
Sheffield Kelly felt that overall the stats told the right story, but Dayton got stronger as the match went on Have a lot of respect for that, but feel like they let that happen by not responding to the challenge Hilley felt they need to do better on finishing strong.
White Started serving well but it tailed off Trying different lineups to see what they have Students added a whole new energy Dayton found a comfort zone, made some good receptions But Badgers were also hitting right at them, need to adjust planes The serving got less effective at hitting spots Always looks at the defensive numbers Thought they started great, but Dayton hit 0.333 in third set. Badgers need to learn to adjust. They didn't tip as much as usual, block has to be prepared.

Tomorrow could be a very interesting match. Badgers were slower to adjust than the Flyers, but the Flyers may have just been finding themselves this year through the match.

Not having Orzol in the backrow made the badgers feel a bit more brittle in serve receive than last weekend.

Not having Orzol in the backrow made the badgers feel a bit more brittle in serve receive than last weekend. Orzols value can’t be overstated Wisconsin went to 2 person serve receive in several rotations.

I hope Orzol is good to go soon. That said, having Demps next up is nice, and it is comforting to have Jardine and Gregorski too. I am glad the Badgers won their first close set of the year and got the sweep. I hope they play well tomorrow (or later today technically).
