So it's only one game, but USC may have figured out how to play defense competently. Great to have USC in the B1G. The Trojans look tough. USC - ND game in Nov should be a classic. ND fans have to be smiling over Kelly losing (again) the big game for another team.

Boston College upsets Florida St. 28-13 In retrospect at the end of the season, I wonder if we would still think the BC win was an upset.

What was that, Notre Dame? You paid NIU $1.4 million to come to South Bend and take a beating. Instead, they took the cash and your pride back to DeKalb .

USC with a competent defense is so disorienting to watch.

USC with a competent defense is so disorienting to watch. USC just shut out a team for the first time since 2011. D'Anton Lynn saved Lincoln Riley's job.

What was that, Notre Dame? You paid NIU $1.4 million to come to South Bend and take a beating. Instead, they took the cash and your pride back to DeKalb . Big win for NIU, but here's an important questions is: Will any contending Power 4 team seek to pay them 1.4M in near future? Will even Maryland and Mississippi State (currently on their 2025 schedule) try to cancel so not to risk their bowl chance/money? Do they pay 1.4M? How about Iowa and Arizona in 2026? Appalachian State lost to Kansas in 2005 and NC State in 2006. So Michigan "paid", then lost to, them in 2007. LSU did play them in 2008 (contractual?), but I wonder why there was no "customer" in 2009 and 2010.

CAL football? How is this happening? Go Bears!! Auburn’s QB was atrocious. It’s tough to win a game when you get picked off four times.

Nebraska with a convincing win over Colorado The game was won in the trenches. Nebraska's O-line manhandled the Colorado defense leading to a 7.1 yard per carry rushing average in the first quarter. The passing game was clicking as well. Freshman QB Dylan Raiola passed for 185 yards, 1 TD, 0 Int, while completing 77% of his passes. At one point ~7 min into the first quarter the Colorado QB had been sacked as often as he completed a pass (3). They also took care of the ball committing no turnovers while Colorado had 2. I'm far from saying that Nebraska is back but there has been a marked improvement over last season especially on offense.
