This is my favorite image of Georgia's beatdown of Texas and the SEC refs: Someone on Twitter said that it looked like Ewers and Manning had just spent six months in the jungles of Vietnam, lol. They definitely look shellshocked.

That very clearly was not pass interference by the Texas DB but I would love to hear the exact process which led to the call being reversed.

Officiating needs to be taken out of the conferences' hands. There's too much money at stake, and they have way too much of an interest in protecting the top teams.

That very clearly was not pass interference by the Texas DB but I would love to hear the exact process which led to the call being reversed. I mean, what is there to say? They obviously looked at the video board and got intimidated by the fans throwing things on the field, so they reversed it. That sets a very bad precedent. Getting a call wrong is bad but not as bad as letting the home crowd influence the refs into changing the call after it had already been announced because they were throwing objects on the field. They need to start calling 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalties to deter that. And they should review the video and ban every fan who threw something on the field for a significant period of time (I'd go five years, but at least one full season).

Pitt got three pick-sixes in one game, as they crushed Syracuse.

UNLV held Jeanty in check by his standards (129 yards on 33 carries), but Boise State won anyway. Annoying. I was hoping UNLV would get it done. It will be interesting to see if Jeanty actually wins the Heisman. He's great, but no non-power conference player has won it since Ty Detmer in 1990.

Go PAC! Nice win for Boise.
They will represent the PAC, defacto, this year as the #5 highest rated champion.
Looking like I was right all along: PAC champion will have the easiest route to getting the #5 spot as the best conf outside the big 4.

The Pac-12 doesn't even have a full conference yet.

Ohio State is struggling to beat Nebraska. They actually trailed with about 11 minutes to go. Nebraska gets the ball back trailing 21-17 with under four to go. This is the same Nebraska team that got blown out 56-7 by Indiana last week. The Big Ten is looking pretty sus in general this year.

Notre Dame blew out Navy 51-14 to hand the Midshipmen their first loss. That NIU loss is still really bad, but Notre Dame is probably a playoff team.
