NCAA All America Awards also a little bizarre. Kraft/Maple on 1st Team No Trojans on 2nd Team? I’m the first one that says the coaches are just paid to win championships but a couple of our players were severely hurt with the rotating pairs, positions and lineup. White for sure, that’s just wrong. I’d assume she is a team first player but it’s frustrating. I hope we don’t loose players due to individual recognitions that just don’t happen for SC players. I can’t imagine they are not frustrated. Look at all American. How does Cal have 4??? That’s a joke. The voting coaches need to do a better job. |

Here were my notes from the Trojans dominating sweep of the Lions.
Trojans came out on fire! Kraft/Maple and White/Kriz playing very crisp volleyball.
Few 4s pairs see blockers like Seits.
Goellner’s athletic ability continues to impress. Thomas and Pater played well when shown.
Nourses must be glad their off stretch was this match. They’ve had a history of having great matches after their rare sub-par ones.
Anna Collier gave another good interview. She’s definitely on a publicity tour and getting some love. I’m so glad. She didn’t get enough recognition when she left USC.
And Rob Espero must be proud that Mads Fitzpatrick is a reporter for ESPN for this event.

Congrats USC! No match loss all weekend. Is this a new record? Four 3-0's so great job by the girls and coaching staff for peaking at the right time. Congrats to Kraft/Maple, Nourses, and Seits/Pater for making the all tournament team as well.

Yeah, was a bit surprised the telecast ended so quick this year when last year it stretched all the way through the jumping in the Gulf ceremony. But I think ESPN saw that the finals ended a few minutes before 11am PDT so they pulled the plug so switched to SportsCenter at the top of the hour. You can see a bunch in this IG vid.
