All I want to know is what is wrong with Orzol Much the same as last week, nothing obvious during pre-game. This week, under the watchful eye of the head trainer person, she did the 'floor stretching' before they started to jump and swing, etc.; she did not do that last weekend. Other than that, no idea. As I said, nothing at all obvious.

Badger hitters Demps 11-2-24, 0.188 Loberg 9-5-30, 0.133 Jardine 1-2-5. -0.200 Middles and RS Rettke 16-2-24, 0.563 Robinson 14-3-27, 0.407 Hart 8-1-17, 0.412 And this is how to beat Wisconsin. Get them out of system and shut down the left sides. Of course, easier said than done. Also, we know Demps and Loberg can just go off on you sometimes, so there is that. I would not be shocked to see Jardine do the same to someone at some point. Plus, I hope Orzol is back soon to give them more options. I was wondering if they were considering redshirting Jardine, but that is out now. If they had, it was only due to depth. She looked capable in the scrimmage.

Eh she gave y’all a whole ass program, she can relax for a bit. She did? Lilley, Edmonds, Curry have all entered the chat. Good list, I'd also add Kaz Brown...if they'd had Kaz Brown instead of Goetzinger in the spring oh man...
(not saying Goetzinger is bad, just that she wasn't as notable as the rest of their lineup)

I had Kaz on my list and deleted her at the last second! 😫 But yes, she was a stud out there.

My opinion: Kentucky played about as well as I've seen them this year. Despite early dominance, the badgers were lucky to get through with a 3-1 win. Orzol may have changed the calculation for UW, especially with late subs. I've gone through this in my head and I think I have it right: what Orzol missing translates to - not in a one-to-one way, but across a full six rotation - is Demps across the front instead of Orzol, Ashburn across the back instead (and secondarily Loberg a little more involved in serve-receive, because Izzy is a setter by training and so serve-receive is not her strong suit) and the Danny Hart serving instead of Orzol. Well, Demps wasn't great but she wasn't bad, Hart served really quite well, and ended the second set on a long serving run. Serve-receive started to bite them in the third set when Kentucky started finding Loberg along the sideline. They're better with Orzol (from what little we've seen) but I'm not sure the difference is all that much. IMO, anyway. Edit: sorry, make that the first set when Hart went on the serving run. ------------- Tonight was great fun! The first two sets (for a Badger fan anyway) and then the last two in an entirely different way. Great, great volleyball.

The rules used to be, as best I know, that someone could play in as many as a quarter (?) of the regular season games/matches and still red-shirt, so long as none of them was in the second half of the season. And then a couple years ago, they changed in for football to make it even more 'lenient' than that. Sp I think she red-shirt is still possible (though I have no idea what the intentions are)

She's AWFUL in tough situations. Didn't read the block and hits the same angle rather than using the edge, particularly with a short setter. So frustrating.

Omg is the Friends theme always on the playlist for the Wisconsin band? Lol (It was co-written by a UW alum - Allee Willis- who sadly passed away last year. She co-wrote others - Earth Wind and Fire "September", "Boogie Wonderland", etc. She and now her estate get paid when they play it?)

The only thing that has me doubting myself is they make a distinction between a "predetermined redshirt" and a "medical redshirt". Predetermined is what she would have been if she never entered a match. Having played tonight, it would now have to be a "medical" redshirt, and I don't know whether you have to "prove" n actual injury to claim it. So... maybe? IDK for sure.

LOBERG is the biggest liability in program history, I been saying this since 2017.... she is too scary! She may be a nice person... but her panic really makes her team play in that mode as well.

Demps also scares me... here is what I would do if I was in charge
Orzol and Robinson on OH Rettke at RS Hart and 6'9 girl in Middle DS / Serving Specialis Ashburn for Rettke Lib Barnes Italy to serve for Hart or other MB Dobbs to serve for MB or Hart

Oh, and this does not tie the all time home win streak for the Badgers. In September 2000, they actually lost to Ohio State at home. The only other loss in league play that year was at Penn State in 5 (puke!), and they legitimately won the league, but forfeits due to a player later deemed ineligible don't count. Thus, the current streak is the actual record. Please extend it for a long time, Badgers!

Your serve-receive and defense would be a disaster.
