Hilley - Rettke connection was rough at the end of the 5th. Announcers have made a point about how Rettke wants to be hitting the ball harder this year, but every set seemed just a little bit too high for her to take a full swing. Or she was a little late each time. Either way, definitely a few missed connections that could have changed the outcome. Hilley's setting was not good. She was setting behind hitters an trapping them. Some bad decisions, too. 🤷♂️ Kelly motioned a few times that she needed to set Smrek higher, and she started to as the match went late. |

And I was wondering what I would do for entertainment this evening. Long day at work, settling in with the video and impression in the first 30 seconds is this video evokes old-timey Sasquatch footage. Probably appropriate, given the unlikely outcome. :-) Hope Set 5 is representative of what happened all night 'cause that might be all I can take.

We'll go nowhere with our outsides. Robinson played as poorly as I've ever seen. I think you need to chillax bruh. y'all have great outsides. they didn't have their best night but they are certainly performing a lot better than Nebraskas outsides, so thats a plus right?  the setting was off tonight as well which didn't give them the best positions to hit in. you also have freshmen who will sometimes just swing like freshmen, (straight into the block) but your freshmen in particular seem to have a lot of potential to grow as the season progresses. I promise you will go further than "nowhere" |

Wisconsin is going to be just fine. They're going to use this loss as a learning experience and motivate them even more. It will be ok. Maryland will probably give MN a run for their money too on Sunday.

When are they gonna move Robinson into the middle to get Demps on court? Rettke and Smrek were not anything close to 'the problem' tonight. Robinson was 3rd team All-American last spring playing on the right. Before Hart got hurt, the answer to your question was 'maybe in 2022'; not it is 'maybe in 2023'. |
