Mima Mirkovic hit 1,000 career digs in Cal's season-opening victory over Alabama A&M and followed by collecting her 1,000th career kill in the Bears' win against Northwestern State. The Irvine, California, native became the eighth player in Cal history to hit the double 1K mark, following Lisa Arce, Jenna Brown, Jessica Dinaberg, Tarah Murrey, Alicia Perry, Angie Pressey and Tiffany Rochelle.

Katie Smoot has recorded a team-high 145 kills which ranks fourth in the Pac-12 Conference and 93rd in the nation. Smoot ranks second in the Pac-12 in total attacks (425) and 74th among all Division I players.

Since the first week, Bergmark has made all three All-Tournament teams and is second in the Pac-12 (24th in the nation) with a .417 attack percentage.

Cal gets a boost this season with the addition of two Pac-12 transfers. Katie Smoot (Arizona) and Leah Schmidt (Utah) add immediate experience on the pins for the Bears.

Note the "thread creation in progress" at the top. The Cal line up is mostly Florida players. I copied the Florida @ Stanford game as a template. I'll get to the Stanford lineup after I finish the Cal line up and service order.

Cal has beaten Stanford once in the last 18 times they have played each other.. They have been dominated but they always show up and play their hardest unlike some teams that are full of prima donnas and do not give an honest effort in similar circumstances.

Mahalo! All I hope is an improvement in our service receives and passing which were much better with this past spring's team as well as both Grote and Pantovic being able to play. Go Bears!

Hope she has a great conference season. I always liked talking to her when she was at Arizona, even though I know it was a tough few years for her. Just hope she's not as in love with the off-speed stuff as she used to be.
