Shondell is doing a disservice to teh team by playing 3 different OH for 1 spot. OHs in the big 10 need to be able to trust themselves. You can see it at Nebraska also... too much competition with women doesn't work. If we said too much competition between players for a position, we'd probably get general agreement and find some research to support it. IMO Choosing the word women may have been an unconscious substitution for players. Intentional selection of the word women over players opens us to charges of being too general, sexist, a disservice to womens volleyball,, and probably could not be supported by good science.

This match was so fun! This is why I love volleyball. Two great teams, evenly matched, just going at it. So much heart. So much fight.
I couldn't watch it live so I was playing catch up on a recording. But I thoroughly enjoyed the comments from this thread! Thanks for making it even more entertaining!
Good stuff!!

Can the boiler operate efficiently with nuts in the system? Isn't that how a good brewski is made? All you need is a good boiler with some nuts and hops.

I am not a man and haven’t coached males. Coach cook made a great quote this past week “men battle to bond and women bond to battle.” I can definitely be wrong, but I wasn’t excluding men in my comment. Men, what do you think? And why are people so reactive? Isn’t it similar to “black lives matter.” That phrase doesn’t exclude other races from mattering.

I think he made the right call on the outside and middle switch ups. Had Ohio State made some outside changes later in the game, the result would have probably been different. Who knows. I am not sure what she has on the bench for that spot.

Hoooooow did Cleveland go 5 entire sets without a single block? That's like, her thing!

Ohio state didn’t have much of a block last night. That’s unlike them.

They beat Ohio state twice last year in Columbus. Boilers just have their number True, but for this match specifically, it definitely felt like the fans made a difference. My wife and I were in Holloway for the 2019 Purdue win over the Huskers, and the crowd was an absolute *force*.
