I wouldn't blame her if she is having second thoughts about returning this season. returning AA or not, the top 2 hitters in the freshman class were coming in. She had to have known it wasn’t going to be given to her. It’s simple: play better than them or watch them do it better than you. I have no issues with her not playing if Cook doesn’t believe she is the best option. I’m not convinced yet that she shouldn’t be on the court, but we all saw her abysmal production when she was playing. Batenhorst hit 333% today with many out of system sets. That gets the nod, IMO.. Nonetheless, her endorsements alone with the rule change ensures she isn’t regretting coming back. I’m sure her bank account has swelled quite rapidly…and a masters that is payed for? I’d take it all. But, all those footing the different bills will take a hit on their return of investment if she doesn't get to play much.

The Nebraska freshman would have unseated a lot of established upper class men in top programs.

I’m sure volleyball had something to do with it. I’m sure getting her masters also had something to do with it. I’m sure the sport in general had something to do with it. And I’m certain her teammates and Nebraska had something to do with it. She hasn’t been reserved about expressing how much being at Nebraska has changed her entire life. Again-not what I meant at all. Just adding additional benefits.

Nonetheless, she’s still getting the degree and she still loves being at Nebraska. I didn’t mean for it to sound like it was just about the money..

The Nebraska freshman would have unseated a lot of established upper class men in top programs. This part. And the talent management probably would have been easier for Cook in normal circumstances

Lexi is obviously a well-known name and a huge fan favorite in Nebraska regardless of how much playing time she gets.

If you had told these sponsors that Sun would spend more time on the bench than on the court (which is still to be determined, but the signs are there that her starting days could be over), they might have invested their NIL money in a different Husker player or two (those who actually are seeing significant playing time). Let's be real; players on the bench don't receive the TV camera time that those on the court do.

The Nebraska freshman would have unseated a lot of established upper class men in top programs. Maybe. I'd need some specific examples to be convinced as every NU freshmen hitter is struggling offensively with a setter who's in her 4th season as a starter. And, I'm assuming Nebraska still has one of the top passing teams in the country compared to the other "top" programs.

You know which hitters would’ve been unseated by the Nebraska freshman. Providing examples isn’t going to convince you, bc you’re just going to dish out statistics that say otherwise. You’re just looking for reasons to punctuate the fact Nebraska hasn’t had a hot start and by normal standards, is having an under whelming season thus far. And the only reason you’re coming on their threads and attempting to punctuate that is because Texas is #1. You’re consistent year in and year out. We all know what you’re trying to do here.

That’s a whole lot of over sensitivity from someone who I wasn’t even quoting. Get a grip. If some poster isnt shy about throwing out global statements that the Husker freshmen hitters can unseat returning starters at other “top” programs, they have no reason to be shy in providing some specific examples.
