service errors irk me much irkage Lol, I think you focus on it too much. Pressure off of serve is absolutely one of THE key factors to winning a competitive match. A really good team is going to tend towards a 65% side out rate. The team that can move the needle on that will win the set. Given how regularly side outs occur anyway, sacrificing service errors for aggressive serving that gets the other team on its heels is vital. Now, true, too much of it is bad, but not being effective at the service line is a recipe for disaster. IRK

Naturally, Fritz is going to get edgy about double calls when it’s Baylor across the net

K-State has to serve tough and dig to give themselves a chance on offense. The first set they didn’t do well at either. They served pretty well to start off, but then got nothing. Carter obviously has some development to do when she's in the back row on defense. Baylor caught her back there in a couple of rotations and abused her. She's such a weapon, though. This is a good growth opportunity for her.

pressley looks like she is shot out of a cannon on backrow attacks Which is appropriate given that the ball looks like it was shot out of a cannon coming off her hand, too.

Wow, officials still calling a pretty tight game. The Olympic committee is interested.

With Baylor’s pins you have to get them off the net or force them to hit off speed.

kstate can't afford these hitting errors 22-19 baylor Maybe not, but Carter has to stay aggressive. She's the most effective weapon they've got.

Or try to slow it down with a partial block. But I don't know that K-State has the front line to do that effectively on a regular basis. Pressley and Skinner are both outstanding at going after a great block, much less one something less than that.
