Illinois takes S1 25-22. Wisconsin had control of the set but went brain dead for that stretch on Nunge’s serve.

Illini coming to life and win the first set. They have the potential to be really good - assuming the passing does not break down.

Well, well. I thought IL would win a set and had an outside chance at the upset. That have to be pleased with that start, especially after being down 6-11.

Yes ILL take Game 1 - I am taking credit for the win. Had an early morning errand to run and then tuned in when it was Wisc 17-12. ILL went on a run right then and won. Your welcome. LOL

Badgers looked OK until those 4 hitting errors mid set, then everything got tentative. Old patterns. Rotations where Loberg is in serve receive are a real weakness. It's too easy to knock her off her approach.

LOL Or it could be that Wisconsin has 3 of the best players in the country at their position not playing that position NO

Illinois has great size and power. I was impressed with them last year, but the Cooney and the middles are much better this year. Brown is a really nice setter. Illinois serves tough.

I don’t think for a minute that Illinois wins this match. Wisconsin is second best team in the nation (Rettke). But Illinois is pretty good.
